Virtual Zwift Rides

Yes.
I’m riding Weds at 1830 :+1:t3:

I think 3 sisters, big foot hills, dust in the wind, routes that aren’t too long with climbs to contest would work well

I just did 3 sisters, it was a group ride for Zwift Academy I think, had hoped I might be able to sit in for an easy ride for a bit but it split quite quickly and I was only wanting a steady ride. So it ended up being mostly a solo effort.

But another badge ticked.

It wasn’t a bad route, but that last really steep bit on the mountain is slow.

Haha, yeah, I can read  But in my defence I was really asking what Zwift insider verified Strava segment was it.

It is this one: Hilly KOM

P.s. I kicked your ass (2 years ago … when I was fitter)

But on a more serious note: this could be easy to set up as a weekly challenge. One route that bags a well known segment (sprint or KOM jersey), and within that week we all have 3 challenges:

  1. ride it
  2. get a PB
  3. be the TriTalk god for the week

@Adam basically nails it above with his suggestions.

These are the race on Wed evening, short course.
The GCA one at 18:45 looks perfect?

Staggered start is the only downer

Yeh I think 3 sisters would make for a good race for us next Sat. Can use meet-up up on it as dont expect will be a bunch sprint

I’m liking the look of the Richmond UCI race at 13.40. Getting a bit bored of the circuit/crit races and Watopia.

I think it was a ZA race in Richmond where @Poet lost his sh*t

I think that I will join on Wedneday as I don’t think that my leg will be sufficiently recovered for the first interval session. It also gives me an excuse if I fail to perform on Zwift as well

I like the sound of the fixed 10km, it will be the only way I can beat @Daz if he starts at the back of the field.

Ha ha ha :see_no_evil::rofl::see_no_evil:
Is that the one with that shithill?

For some reason, Richmond is a course I just don’t get on with. 80% of course is flat / downhill and pace is too relaxed, even at the front, then the final 20% is the big climb where power numbers at the front are insane, and I get dropped, with little chance of bridging to main group on long flat/descent section

Yes… really shithill

Well, not everyone can be a watt monster like me.

I’m just needing a change from Crit City, the Champs Elysee (which are both just very flat with a small incline!) and to a lesser extent, all the races that go around the Volcano. Where did the Yorkshire races go?

If you type the world on the search box in zwiftpower - it nicely filters.
I also love the yorkshire ones - had some of my most fun and interesting races - esp those that feature pot bank

Ha you’ll beat me Matt. I have to race in Heino Cup series at 7pm, so will use part of this as a WU. But I’m up for Sat morning if youre around.

Oh right! I always just use the companion app; and of course only do ‘races’, and always in the morning or lunchtime…which is probably why I’m ‘filtering’ them out.
