I’ll leave it open for Sat guys. Whether to fo another meet-up friendly race/ride, or we pick an official zwift race to gate crash and put (tritalk) after our names?
If doing meet-up Wed then maybe try a race so we can compare?
For Saturday, we could do a circular route with regular sprints to make it fun.
I’ll try and hop on Saturday morning, although it depends what my daughter wants to do…watch Norris Nutz on YouTube or actually do something
@JOrgan - I’m 77kg and 185cm, so any hills in Zwift put me at a massive disadvantage, even though I can dance up them like a Congleton Bear (Google it) in real life
I’d like a short, punchier course - that Zwift KoM I did the other day in 2 minutes was nice.
But anything longer and I just shoot well away - backwards - from the pack
This guy must really, really hate his Gooch
Hope hes got the everest challenge turned on, thatd be mega frustrating not to get the Tron at the end
Fook that
Why would you do that to yourself
Its more appealing than @funkster s swim sets!!
Crit city race 8 laps at lunch time. Was having some computer issues and ended up with the camera on side view once the race started and couldn’t figure out how to change it. Spent the whole race trying to guess where I was in the pack.
Managed to sit in the draft most of the race, it got strung out on lap 7 and I missed the split and dropped off the back. Pushed on for 13th and a decent workout, close to 300W NP for a 20 min race which is a good 10W over what I think my FTP is (around 285W)
That’s bang on FTP
95% of 20 minutes watts = FTP
95% of 300W = 285W
Good racing
We have 2 pet degus, they are a bit like rats. They love running around in their wheel for what seems like hours at a time.
They live in this utility area at the back of our house, and at one stage over the summer I set up the turbo nearby. They could see me & I could kind of tell they were thinking “you act all fancy but really you’re not that different, human”.
Anyway, they’d like multi-Zwift-Everest man I think.
Edit: here’s Tao
Is it though?
No. What’s he’s proposing to do sounds both boring and painful and although has a defined end goal, seems pretty pointless.
Ugh, I got dropped really early on the Richmond race; a rider in front let a gap develop and I couldn’t bridge across to the ‘blob’ Managed to get into a second pack of about 11, which stayed together until the cobbled climb, then two got away from me, and I smoked the rest init!
Depending on your definition of fun the Innsbruckring with legsnapper climb and a sprint is a good one for a social ride with some optional hurty.
Sounds like a reasonable shout, there’s enough flat/gentle downhill to regroup after the climb.
Takes ages though. Those on the front really need to soft pedal - freewheel!
Twice up the Alpe this afternoon, no real efforts, first one at 2.7w/kg, second time at around 2.5, 1h10min followed by 1h11min30sec
Richmond is on weds night at 6.45 with open start. Bit longer than we were suggesting…
Possible alternative to our meetup
I could possibly make this, probably nothing too strenuous though as I’m supposed to be giving blood tomorrow (Tuesday)
