Sprint finish init going by the timing chart
That was annoying. Nobody turned up to my club ride, which was an hour on Tempus Fugit.
So I drilled it on my own for 30mins, I think it was close to 19kms. Then I clicked ‘quit event’ and as soon as I did, it said I had no internet connect but I did because I checked my other sites and my wifi signal was green. Absolutely no internet issue.
Anyway, it took me about 5 mins to exit the game and nothing has saved.
Good workout though!
It was an interval session so hard up to turn 1, recover to turn 2 hard again to turn 3 etc. My av recovery was 220w and hard was 260w. I will have another go on Wednesday
Well it’s popped up now and says I did 18.4kms in 30 mins. (it actually says 32.40 but that’s how long it took to log out). I still can’t see my power though.
Jumped on for an easy hour after smashing myself with Mrs Hen on day one of couch to 5k! (Keep it clean you lot HRT patches not rescued everything!)
Checked out Zwift events and had 19 mins before the Bologna race 15 miler…up the hill twice…GAME ON bring the Cat B thunder!
Very happy 4.1 W/kg for 21st position
Class work that fella
Following the Matt Spooner training program…race race race
Good work Sir. I did a twice up Bologna race once, but bailed after the descent, couldn’t face going back up…
Crit city, crazy pace for first 2 laps. Blew up like Bikini Atoll. Then ended up latching onto 3rd or 4th group and quite enjoyed it after that.
New bike HRmax 174bpm set just before blowing up on lap 3
0630 up the Alpe.
Sorry neighbours ♂
I saw @funkster working out
Yeah, got parent’s evening tonight
Was on at 6:00
Expecting to get the call to self isolate today Will be getting full use of subscription for next two weeks!
350w is no where near high enough at the start. Normally 400-500w for first 30s, Once through that first phase the power drops dramatically as everyone is trying to recover
Or dead…
Or dropped
I am about 100 Watts too low or 15kg too much for that kind of start. I tend to be a hard starter then creep up through a few groups, you gotta keep the power over the top of any hills and during the descent.
Do you guys meet up for weekly rides?
In my case, we meet at the start.
I like the races with large number of people where it gets really strung out at the start, but distinct groups do not form initially. You can take it a little easier off the line, then make your way forward. It normally takes the first incline to split the pack, and often the hard starters are so shattered that they get dropped (I’ve been there and done that)
Yes, I am getting used to doing high 300s at the start now, that I even got in the front pack yesterday in a big race; I did see it tip into the 400s in the opening 20 secs. It’s something you get used to I guess! I have to be careful to not knock my laptop holder over when I’m out of the saddle; my set-up is a bit ghetto.
