Virtual Zwift Rides

I’m planning on it.

Are you?

Yup - registered for all 3. Theres ALOT of riders… think a smaller field might’ve made it more interesting.

Sprint race will just be whoever gets in the main breaks I guess.

Swap to TT bike for the TT - I assume that’ll be mass start but no drafting.

Registered for all 3 (some doubt I’ll make the first).

Scratch I assume is a normal race. TT will be an epic burn up😂.

Points in theory you get points for position in the sprint each lap, double points at the end and of course mega points if you make a lap on the field :joy::joy::joy::joy:. Not really clear how exactly they will score that, not that I’ll be bothering the scorers however they score it…

Yeah if I get a single point across 3 races… I’m claiming that as a morale victory!

I’ll try and enter tonight. I was expecting it to be popular so not much chance of getting any points unless you take the first 2 steady and try a bit more in the last race when some people might be fried.

Be a bit of fun and see how I get on.

Wonder if I should use poet’s rapid weight loss plan, or maybe sit in the sauna and dehydrate myself all day to make the weight like boxers do :joy:

Im not sure weight makes much diff… Its the reverse dolphin loop - so you don’t get the steep kicker, just a load of false flats. Rubbish!!!
Also starts the laps with the rollers :sob:

Better be ready for a few minutes of mayhem from the off then :joy:

Just checked, points for the first 20 in Scratch and TT. For the points race it’s the first 4 each lap and finish (double points but still need top 4). 200 odd signed up…

I will be massively impressed if anyone can muster a point, esp as it’s all Category racing…

Best placing for ages today in the Volcano race. 30/179 starters. I kept with the lead group until we got inside the Volcano; at 14.9km to go I even hit the front  Given how many starters there were, there weren’t many finishers in Zwift, let alone Zwift Power after it had weeded out all the cheats (wasn’t anti-sandbagging). At one point I was with a Cat A, and a group of 4 C Cats breezed last us on Volcano Climb  None of them made the ZP results.

Yeah thats not enough places is it with 200 entrants… and likely to get bigger. Maybe they will amend it seeing as its a manual process it seems…

TriTalk bragging rights on the iTT then??

If it’s top 20 in each category someone might have a chance, depending on the split across categories?

I dont think theres any categories… just all in one!!!

I’m riding Tempus Fugit for an hour tonight with the club. Thinking of going sans draft TT bike, just for the workout (it’s a banded ride). It’s tempting to get the P5 but I’m only a level and a bit away from the Felt IA.

Just went badge hunting and wonderful Zwift dropped out with 0.3 miles to go - how very super, at least it was only a 14.6 course in France

You need the RANT thread :grimacing:

Decided to have a go at the ADZ and managed to get 00:55:00:41 so pretty happy with that.

That is pretty much identical to my best, according to Strava, 55:01

Next time I’m opting for a climbing bike

I’ve now entered all 3. The email I got is a bit misleading, it mentions the series but then lists a crit race which does have the categories. But when I entered it is just open.

We’ll see, still be a bit of painful fun.

How are you only doing 55:00 on that power? It’s not like you’re heavy. I did sub 54 on 255w.
