I’m not even sure why I’m asking, I’d be lucky to make mid pack D grade these days!

Okay, I’m in for London at 12.05.

Probably ill advised as I set a new FTP yesterday

i’m going to be terrible. I reckon my legs will work find up until about 85% and that’ll be it.

might actually get a wu today. mini GB is complying with my time schedule

I might give the ZHQ at 12.30 a crack

I gave you a headstart, and yet still exactly the same played out from the bottom of Box Hill

Dunno what happened at the start, all the avatars were disappearing and it strung out really quickly, so I lost a lot of places 🤷

second from last for me i think

haha, yeah it was almost a carbon copy of last week, but i made the front group for a bit longer this time and got swept up by your chasing group. This time though, once i’d been shelled i sat up and pedalled steady waiting for the catch rather than trying to stay away from the inevitable chase group.

You had 2 secs on me going into the turn up to the hill. I need to get further towards the front for that. Then it went up to 4, 6, 8, 9. I upped the power and pulled away from my mini group and started passing people the whole way. I got you down to 4 secs at one point, but then i think i started to tire and you squeezed back out to 7. I could see your glowing green wheels the whole way just hoping you’d blow!

Was pretty spent after that so just did what i could to get back to the finish line. Think i ended up 9 secs behind in the end.

22 secs quicker than last week though and 7w higher average for me. That’s going in the right direction.

Didn’t realise you were there as well @FatPom thought you said you were heading to something at 12.30?

Rubbish…you’re way to harsh on yourself

That looks suspiciously like Cat B ave power to me

My wife could hear me grunting out in the garage! Loudest was probably the roller at the top of Box Hill, where I tried to press my advantage on you, and could see you trying to close the gap :joy:

I’ve found by the time you get back to the Tube station near the end, if I attack the escalator and TT to the finish, there are very few B/Cs who can keep with me by that stage (stronger riders are up the road).

We were both about 30s quicker than last week, slightly better power; but lower placed!

ooh, I haven’t looked at that but when I joined it said 18 riders and at the end it said I’d come 17th! I was with the front group until 900mtrs to go and then I died, I do know there was rider bearing down on me.

I don’t think that’s right?

My wife came home from shopping when I had 1.5laps to go and asked what I wanted for lunch.

So we’re having a plate of ‘FARRRRK’

Remember ZwiftPower only includes riders registered on ZwiftPower… so you could finish close to someone and that not reflect on these results.
But ZP results are better as they filter out the wrong category people and such.

Did the Z Pro series.

Technical glitches meant the lead group got away in the Crit so had a 17 minute solo sweetspot ride.

Onto the scratch, nicely in the lead pack but race head not really there and missed a split in the group in the last couple of miles. Again ended up with 25 mins odd sweetspot.

Finally what they called hill climb, TT bikes, non drafting lap round Central Park then those gnarly climbs up the glass roads. Rode at sweetspot…

Overall a decent 3x20 sweetspot session, never a bad thing.

Good little series, fields of around 40 in Cat B. Think they intend to run weekly so be good to get in a race mood next time…

what do you class as SS @TROSaracen as a %age of FTP?

I always go for 90%

I think it’s actually a window of something like 85% to 95%

And yes. You didn’t ask me :flushed:
