Virtual Zwift Rides

No you’ll still get segment times (certainly do in strava) - but yeah it just shares the power to a degree (with some rubber banding).

No. Just if you go over the B Cat threshold limits.
I would not worry and just tow me round :+1:t3:

ZA TRI ACADEMY kit (no socks) for me, on the ZA ROAD CANYON AEROAD and Zipp 808s.

It’s the best I’ve got

I assume if you cruise along within limits, you don’t get the green cone?

It looks more like a (warning) triangle to me.

Yeah. Exactly that.
So you can still win on the Zwift results.
But you’ll be a DQ on ZP.

So, as a newbie to game racing, do you guys take any notice of Zwift results, or is it all about ZP where the action is?

ZP does remove some of the sandbaggers.

I may barely register an interest in zwift results if I can still be in a position to see the results once finishing (assuming I’m not on the floor crying/vomitting).

But I’ll sit refreshing for ZP stats all night - find them far more engaging.

ZP For sure.
The normal Zwift ones are garbage.
If you don’t do an anti sandbagging race, you get people in Cat D doing 5W/kg.
My first few races, it proper sucked the joy out of it, then I found about ZwiftPower.

Unlike Mike, I just request a faster update, then go for a shower; once finished my results are ready to dissect :relieved:

Can I post Zwift Run stuff here?

I don’t expect there are enough runners to warrant a new thread.

I hit Level 12 today :tada:

So are running levels separate from cycling levels?

What level do you have to be to unlock the magic shoes?

The running stuff is so less exciting as it doesn’t make you a fraction of a second faster 🤷

I did plan to experiment with the running side, did a few runs then Covid hit and not had access to a treadmill since.

Yeah - I run on Zwift…sometimes.
The pod caused a massive bruise on my foot!
I thought I’d broke a metatarsal or something, proper painful (obvs still ran and cycled on it!)

You seem to have very sensitive feet!

Wanted to burn off some post slow run frustration…but conscious of it potentially being the eve of my A race of the year, Super (average) domestique for @Poet… Didn’t want a full on crit, so picked a group session with volcano race to finish.

Group actually followed instructions… Bit too much under/over than I would’ve liked but was certainly warmed up for the last blast.

Pace ramped up as soon as the KOM started, got in lead group and was ok… But it started stringing out about halfway up. Was on the wrong end of the string!
Gaps either side but managed to keep decent pace all the way up, caught near the summit as another caught me.

13th on ZP, 29secs off my volcano pb for a 6.55 (322 watts… Which is about my 5 min power best… so pretty happy with that considering)

Princess and the Pea :princess::relieved::sleeping_bed:

They’re actually battered, just certain things really grate on them

Free ride up Ven Top for me this afternoon got the fastest time blue jersey with the goat thing on the back, jumped off quick before some beggar beat me and stole the goat thing!

I did the 3R iTT and was a minute slower than 2 weeks ago, legs were empty from the first few minutes and it was just a case of digging in, the AP was only about 20W down so heading towards the 10% I thought I’d be missing.

But was only about a minute off 3rd and one was an A+ and the winner was pulling 4.7W\KG.

Still a reasonable workout though.
