Thought it was level 12? I’m on 6 and haven’t seen/found it yet, but I could be blind!
Yeah, normally is. But they updated it at the end of March because of Coronavirus
Unless they reverted it back?
I’ll go Alpe hunting Thursday then - cheers
Thanks for that, I might have a look tomorrow.
Giving the Bologna race a go tomorrow (the classics categorised one not the TT) aiming to keep a lid on it a bit and hopefully stay in the pack on the flat then hit the climb a bit harder
Turns out you can get ADZ before level 12, thanks for that Stenard, apart from the fact I gave it a go and I’m now wasted.
Reasonably steady, AP was just under 250W, and I did the climb in 60:30! I thought I was on track for sub 60 but realised the finish was nearer to 18K and was wrecked by then after last night and this dinnertime. I’ll probably have another go one day.
Cruised back down for some free XP as well.
PS, if I miss any of you on the course I’m not being ignorant, I often don’t have my glasses on or can’t see through them for sweat!
Jeff what was your w/kg on the Bologna TT?
Im finding the alp relatively OK, but your power on the TT seemed way above what I’ll do.
Tho I do prefer longer stuff I can settle in to.
I averaged 308W which is about 4W\KG on the TT but built up a bit as it went on. I started fairly steady on the Alpe, was just going to cruise up but started thinking I might break the hour. The 1 mile run at dinnertime hurt more than I thought as well, I was starting to suffer towards the end.
I did do the TT on a road bike with the basic 50MM wheels so should go faster when I get a better bike.
I’m not really a fan of sitting on the Wattbike for that long, the whole session was about 1:25 and I was also getting pretty dehydrated because I didn’t take a drink.
I did the Bologna TT course last night at 9.30pm Came 10th in B Cat with 18:01.
Do you use the TT bike?
No, whilst I was warming-up I bought the Enve 3.4 wheelset and the Tarmac Pro frame; apparently the best climbing combo. I figure if you ride in a group to the base of a climb, a TT bike is pointless. About 1km into the climb people started fading, and I probably gained 3-4 places in the last k.
Missed that bit, I realise now you did the cat race rather than the TT, I might try that when my legs recover from the recent batterings.
Yorkshire UCI course today as only had a 30 minute break from work.
Also have a Tickr HR on the way so can race again from Sunday and actually count in the zwiftpower results. Not much point racing when your results don’t stand, so been doing some courses and ticking off elevation to get the Tron bike. Only a couple of thousand metres left for that and expect to finish it before the Tickr arrives, then switch back to racing next week.
i still can’t get that Zwiftpower to work. It just won’t accept my zwift ID for some reason, despite me quadruple checking it, so i’ve given up.
You need to login to the zwift website, go to your profile-connections, and opt-in to zwiftpower.
I struggled with that for a couple of days too
the fount of all Zwift knowledge!!
@stenard - thanks managed to connect it up now! though it hasn’t pulled any real data across other than distance and elevation. Is that because i’ve no HR data, so i’m invisible to ZP? If so, tickr is arriving on Sunday, so guess i can do a few races/workouts over the next week or two and it can then calculkate my ZP w/kg.
Jeff what set up have you been using on the TT?
Im on tonight for my first crack.
On the basis everyone says go harder when you’re at your slowest - I also figured better kit for going uphill rather than on the flat as thats where the time will be lost the most.
I’m riding it tonight and will use the freebie trek emonda with standard wheels, save a bit so I can hit the climb a bit harder. Not sure I’ve unlocked enough or got enough drops to buy anything which will make much difference?
Some ZP data can take 24hrs or so to update. Not sure how it works when you activate an account after already doing some activities. How it then backfills the data, or if it even does, is not something I’m sure of
Silly question maybe, once you’ve added the id to your user name to connect with ZP and it is connected, can you then drop the number from your user name? cheers
