Virtual Zwift Rides

Im within 2% IRL… I mean thats close enough to not need to bother faffing with settings isnt it??
Obviously if I was 2% under that then I’d be right in there updating

I put mine at IM race weight; I’m not always on the button…

I think I was about 67-69 for long course (IM). Pure cycle racing is about 72-73 and windsurfing, kayaking and most other things 73-75 kg. Didn’t like being below 70kg.

That’s odd!
As all “The Data” points to being heavier for long course being better. And to be lighter for cycling?

But then you’re pretty damned handy, so :man_shrugging:t4:

Think it might be time for me to be 4W/kg again.
Just gotta go into settings and drop 10kg :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

All true. But weight also varies through the season. Winter is a lot of long UT1 and UT2 level training, especially in rowing. Very good for weight loss if thats the target. Intensity then builds and so does the weight. Long course tri is mainly transitional and below, long and steady, rarely anaerobic. Weight just drops off. Shorter races need more power, and for cycling its not stage racing in this country, it’s mainly fast and furious and into the red mist and red zone.
I never adjust diet for weight, it is what it is.

15/17 in A today, and a 0.28 Ranking improvement. Happy days.

Who say Breakaways don’t succeed in a Crit.

OK… just downloaded this newfangled Zwift thing. I have 5 hours of ‘Revenue Kick Off’ tomorrow and Wednesday, might see how far I can ride in that time.

So, what should I set out to do for these 2 days? I’m not sure what will happen on Wednesday - I might be involved in the sessions. And I’m not sure what my legs will be like after a day of this.

55,000…

Four Horsemen is definitely not “orange” in your scale. It’s probably going to take at least 3 hours and you’ll lose the will to live when you get to the top of the Alpe and you’ve still got a load of riding to do.

Who’s in for tonight at 7:30 then? I’ve joined Cat B, pretty tired though, hoping the legs feel like it when I get going.

Yes i’m in, Cat A.

Warning up but feel awful. Isn’t it open start… No point being in B and risk a DQ

Hmm, couple are taking tonight’s race a bit seriously and already warming up :flushed:

Shame we can’t watch the Cat A head to head

I’ve also just stripped and reassembled turbo to finally rid the noise. So need to make sure not Jeffed it up.

Drive train sounds noisy now 🤦

I am planning to get on a few minutes earlier to get the bluetooth working properly!

Luckily I’ll be starting separately, but you wouldn’t want a Cat B getting near you would you :grinning:

No pressure obvs, but imagine that!

Doesn’t count if I have a mysterious technical does it?
