Cat C is where the cool kids hang out you know
Glad they’ve amended the rules. I have personally crossed the line once when coming out of a pairing screen while still pedalling (common mistake). I stopped and waited for the team to start, but didn’t cross finish line. Seems they are now allowing this mistake. Although they also mention that the team timer starts when someone crosses the line. So perhaps best that rider still doesn’t;t cross the finish.
I should be ok for next Thursday. Later the better but anything after 6:30 should be doable.
Just had a DQ in the 25km Douce France race, too damned powerful
Group of of us led the Cat Cs, I won the sprint but didn’t spot the chap who’d gone off the front while I was sitting at the back being all tactical!
Cat B it is then from now on
You’re cool status didn’t last long then
Couple of cat B races, and he’ll be back……
Nah, mid-table mediocrity for me
Well, I tried…… entered a race at 20:32 this evening, but Zwift having login issues and by the time i’d got in, its was too late, and no more races of a sensible distance this side of really late….frustrating!
My zwift pause has ended. Think I’ve been off it long enough that I count as a cat C again. Looking forward to some sandbag action
I was thinking this yesterday, but couldn’t be buttered bothered to dig the turbo out and set it up in the end.
Go on Father Ted, ah go on, go on etc
I’m currently running some troubleshooting on an old wheel that a very kind @mw22 sent down for me to use on the turbo.
I’d forgotten about stuff like compatibility - mine is disc, this is rim (should hopefully be ok as brakes not needed on turbo, assuming stuff doesn’t ‘get in the way’). Apparently then i have potenital hub issues, 10 to 11 sp compatibility. Measured the hub and it’s 142mm which apparently means i’m in with a chance.
Going to see if it’ll fit with my crappy turbo QR skewer first, see if that works. If that fits and it fits onto the turbo, then i think i’m in with a chance. Will just need to buy a cheap casette and keep my fingers crossed, as i really don’t want to wreck my nice GP5000s on the turbo. And i’m clearly not changing tyres 5 times a week!
I fInd having a bike set up on the turbo all the time, means I’m way more likely to use it.
Current setup is an old Halfords cyclo-cross bike which I used for winter commuting 10 years ago. 9 speed. Garmin power pedal.
The bike is junk, completely not roadworthy, no brakes, bearings gone in the headset etc. Basically fit for the tip. but I figure as long as force to the pedals sspinsthe rear cassette, that’s all the matters. I reckon a watt at the pedal, is a watt at the pedal, as far as Zwift is concerned. Plus quite like the frame geometry.
Yep, but there’s no way i can fit another bike in our shed! Plus i have to pack it away all the time, again because there’s no room. Space is one thing we do not have in this property! Though Mrs GB did suggest that i turbo outside the shed, with my laptop/ipad just sat inside the shed door in the dry
FTFY
Should that be in the purchases thread?
When I see those (former) hotels up for sale, I just think of the £000s to turn them into a private home! I for one, would never be interested in running a small hotel.
It’s the obvious solution to the shed issue
Theres not enough cardboard in the world for me to ship the rest of the bike it was attached to
The main box is still being used in the garden by the girls, so it’s not totally wasted!!!
