Virtual Zwift Rides

You cynic. 8 watts per kilo is plenty realistic.

Friday at 6am I have Tempus Fugit TT. 17.6km mostly flat, so I guess about 25 minutes maybe? My target will be to hold FTP for that, so somewhere around 270-280 (FTP 272). Did an outdoor ride this morning, and legs are still wooden from a bit more cycling than they have been used to. Plan to spin 45 minutes on Zwift at easy effort (150-160 watts) today to get the blood flowing. Tomorrow and Thursday I need to resist temptation to race or hammer my legs so I have some pop on Friday, so may try and ride outside again instead.

Those results are from Zwift power so filtered. How about the in game results, was winner riding with some mega pack of non ZP registered or filtered riders?

No. He’s now actually been filtered out of the zwiftpower results, so they clearly know something was wrong.

He was apparently riding solo, even according to the zwift only results. As I say, it’s more just intrigue as to how it was possible off those numbers…

Sometimes breaks happen very early on and riders can sneak away never to be seen again. That gap over that time seems a bit strange though

I’m signed up for Friday as well (Leahn Parry Smart121)

As I say, he beat the Cat A times by over 2 minutes, and was nearly a whole w/kg lower than their power numbers. Just very weird.

If he was solo then it sounds like a Zwift anomoly. As you say based on the numbers winning by that margin is improbable.

If you click on the filtered tab in ZP does it give a DQ code against that rider?

Anyone doing the Watopia cup race tonight or tomorrow, I might see if I can get into the 5:30 or 6:30 tonight, although I’m a bit tired after another poor nights sleep.

Kids keeping you up?

Chocolate belly. All that sugar. :joy:

I’m doing the Cat B Hare & Hounds at half five. I had entered the Newbury at 7, but I’m looking forward to my tea and don’t want it at 8 :joy:

Probably doing this 07.30 Tomorrow. If @PhilleusPhogg wants a rematch

BC South East are using the 6.30pm TT as their Thursday race, so I will be cutting my teeth in zwift TTing during that.

Been looking at bikes. The zwift TT bike is really rather crap (17s slower than the next slowest bike over 50mins), but I can’t afford anything else. I clearly don’t ride enough as I see people with millions of drops, and if I earn a few hundred thousand a week I feel I’m doing alright!

Apologies for my ignorance but I is one of the TT massif ‘Carl Botten’, he’s on my Follow list and I have no idea who he is!

Yes the Zwift TT is comparatively crap.

Think you need to get yourself into the late teens to unlock the p5 and Shivs

ah sweet. he really rides, a lot! :+1:

Yes, Shiv Disc is the fastest TT bike I can buy at the moment, on the cusp of Level 22. It would pretty much wipe out my drops though, as I bought the Tarmac Pro & Enve wheels last week.

Poor night for me on the Watopia cup or whatever, legs were fairly empty so managed to stick in a group.

Had a couple of poor nights sleep which won’t have helped and sat at the desk most of the day. Maybe I should have waited until the 6:30 race.
