Think of it as an enforced winter off season.
That makes me feel a tad better . At least I’m only steady riding.
Though managed to up it to z3 for most of my ride today. (granted I’ve only got a chest infection, so don’t have the same concerns as you may)
I had Covid last summer and although didn’t really suffer with illness (1 day of sleeping all day) there were emerging reports into athletes returning to training quickly and developing heart problems. It was too early to know for sure so I played very safe and took 14 days off completely and then built back up slowly over a further 3-4 weeks. Probably too cautious but a few weeks is not a hardship especially when most races were deferred.
Stupid question warning. Does the same apply following vaccination if you’re feeling ill? Or is that completely different and just get back on it when feeling able and you have no heart issues/side effects?
I’ve just checked my time on that climb from when I did that badge a couple of weeks ago and it was 30 seconds slower on the Tron bike than my 2 previous attempts on a gravel bike.
2 bike changes is going to take close to 30 seconds, isn’t it?
No where near if you get the second one right.
Tron bike is awful on that course, as there are three hills.
Comments on Zwift Insider seem to be split
No way Tron can be quicker than an Addict RC and Enve SES3.4’s on that course???
I’ve not got either of this bikes, so can’t test it
The delay training advice is all about myocarditis, it’s a common side effect of all viruses (no more likely with covid than influenza supposedly) it’s also a known side effect of the MRNA vaccines - Pfizer / Moderna. But there are obviously levels of degree, the full formal diagnosis of myocarditis is “take 6 months off training” but obviously if you don’t have actual symptoms of it then it’s going to be just a little inflammation so it’ll return to normal quicker - how quick, who knows! No-one seems completely sure what’s going on - diagnosis of the bad sort is up over the last year certainly.
But Tron is surely compulsory bling for riding around Neokyo.
Yes.
In exactly the same way an S•Works Tarmac AXS eTap with Enve 3.4s and some Crud Racers MkII is the perfect winter road bike for Cheshire
Are you also a dentist?
Managed to eject myself off the back of a race this evening by pressing the wrong button on Apple remote while trying to use a power up.
Pressed menu button by mistake, and then fumbled trying to get back to the game and managed to completely unpair the turbo instead.
Ah well. Had a little pootle around with the back markers for half an hour , was quite enjoyable in the end.
Dunno if there’s interest for Thursday…
You are rapidly gaining my reputation
What’s the damage on Thursday? Is it up a big hill?
I’m in whatever btw👍
Definite no from old asthma boy here at the mo.
I’m a maybe.
I’ll be out IRL…
…if it’s not icy or raining
Otherwise, I’ll be doing something easy without a hill
@fruit_thief - I’m going to buy an ATV on Saturday when I’m in town So they best be good, or else I’m blaming you
ETA: debating a few casual clothing items versus a direct drive trainer, too.
I then see this on CRC (and read the reviews where it tracks 11% higher on moderate efforts - up to 500W - then up to 24% higher on proper hard sprints)
LifeLine Xplova NOZA S Smart Trainer £341.99

GPLama review here:
Basically, it over reads at above 250W and reads ever higher the longer you use it
Need to use the XMAS10 code at CRC to get it for £342.
All the user reviews are decent, too.
Seems like it works for just riding around.
I need a little #TurboDoping
“thermal drift from Hell”, don’t think he rates it
