I think that’s why I did well in a points race about a week ago. Need a ride so might give it a bash.
The whole team
That’s a lot of sprint FAL and FTS points you’ll be missing out on (unless you think going after them is a lost cause)
Oh I think they plan to hit then whenever they have a PU.
It was more that it’s much easier to sit in on a flat race when your 20min power is pushing 350w.
The flat today was killing me, esp around the banners.
Still. Least I might see a bit more of the front of the race this season.
I find that I have to “sprint” just to stay in the front anyway. I might get some of the minor points in the later sprints if the front group has dwindled enough by then!
What time you racing Tues @r0bh?
Well @jeffb , I might’ve barely pipped your neice. But just got my lowest ever race result, despite 21st place on zwift. 206 ranking
Took me down to 219
Won’t be long before @fruit_thief is snapping at your heels though
Erm, I’m going for balanced training this year for actual triathlon’s with some running so Zwift is low priority
Anyone else joining in at 5? I’m smashed from the parkrun so it’s going to be very unpleasant.
You know what, I’m almost tempted although it’s probably a terrible idea as would be second smashfest of the day
I did a parkrun!
@mw22 that’s a great score
7:35pm IIRC
I’m waiting for my direct drive turbo to come back and be accurate…plus do an actual proper training block…which will then be the start of IRL TT season
Might “spice” up my training block with a couple of races.
Your “score” is only the lowest 5 races from the past 90 days, so it doesn’t need that much effort, just a few choice races
(Like an iTT etc)
Nie zapominaj, że Polacy są z twardych rzeczy, bieganie po parku dziś rano nie kwalifikuje się jako worki z piaskiem w porównaniu do wszystkich innych facetów, którzy zjedli całe słoiki kiszonej kapusty
No idea what that means but I’ve just done a crit and the Wattbike is making more noises and smells than I am so this is probably going to be a steady pootle or DNF!
Don’t forget Poles are hard stuff, running in the park this morning doesn’t qualify as sandbagging, compared to all the other guys who ate whole jars of sauerkraut
Ooh I quite like that course - Neokyo all nighter or whatever it’s called. Spicy, no big climbs just several little bumps then a kind of ladder before a downhill finish. Legs didn’t feel too bad, managed to stay with lead group but then finished dead last in a 36 man sprint
Edit: 35 man sprint, 1 was a woman
@jeffb looks like your wattbike held out?
Well done, the woman was Alice Lethbridge who I think is National 100 record holder with 3:42, although possibly not a sprinter!
Sadly not for the Wattbike, kept it ~260W otherwise the noise returned and the burning smell. Need to be careful I don’t completely wreck it before it gets serviced on Thursday. I’ll call it 70.3 pace
Let her off then
Jeff you are so powerful you set your bike on fire? Get thee to cat A
More points @fruit_thief
