Luck at all those Cat b sandbaggers :flushed:

Too early and hilly for me.

Just click the ranking button @jeffb
2 more Chase races like Jorgan did - or a 12km mini crit!
Neokyo all nighter has a hill - but its mostly draftable!

Just did another one for another 10pt #GAINZ

Pushing out a huge 328W for 6mins.

Not gonna be troubling a fart with that paltry power.

How do people ride those short races? Hell for leather from the start and all slpit up, or a fast blob then sort out the places in a sprint finish?

361 is not a ‘result’ for a decent rider :joy:

Better you get, harder the (ranking) gainz become.

361 is a massive result when I was on 600

@fruit_thief - not sure. There’s a 4% “hill” where I got dropped :sob::sob::sob: I didn’t warm up for the first one, second one “felt” much better (1505, did 30 mins workout, 1545 second race, better power, higher HR, but worse result)

@adam - I’m 0.52 behind you. Enjoy the sight of that ass crack as I pass you :wink:
Although like you mentions the other day, looking above me, there’s only two people I reckon would beat me in a triathlon

If you don’t throw up or black out you aren’t trying hard enough and just hope you freewheel over the line :joy:

I need to find a race then!

Ha ha ha - a flat one, with a long swim, yeah.
Any sign of an incline over 2% And everyone above me will beat me :rofl::rofl:

Jumped on that TUZ Galibier race, some guy kept saying keep it steady and follow the beacon, I couldn’t see any beacon but we were generally cruising about 3.4W/KG, there was the odd few digs and I got back on but after about 19k there was a bigger one that I wasn’t really ready for, got gapped tried to get back on but after 2 minutes hard I wrapped in.

The legs weren’t having it and I wouldn’t have been contesting any sprint so I cut my losses.

Right is it TTT Thursday or Friday skive off work and smash a hill ??

Course looks good for a larger team. With anyone feeling good at the end to smash the climb.

I don’t want fomo on Friday tho

I decided to have another crack at FTP test today, up the Alpe and using Garmin pedals rather than the Saris to make it feel more like a flat time trial effort.

Again heart wasn’t in it and I’m afraid I binned it after hairpin 1 . So about 12 minutes at 290W

They are hard work these FTP efforts

Feeling a bit unfulfilled I hopped on the next random race which was on roule ma poule, with petit KOM twice and ending at the top of the second climb, but otherwise flat. The petit KOM is 3-5% gradient which feels may be the sweet spot for me at 68kg. Not so steep that the 25kg Japanese 12 year olds tear it up, but not flat so the 100kg 400W monsters cant JCB it either.

Having said that, I got dropped on the flat between climbs when the front riders of the small group suddenly and rudely pumped it up to 6-7Wkg for no reason

Definitely going to come back to this course though

I’ll have a go tomorrow night if there’s enough, not sure how my legs will react though, which course is that? I’ll probably get shelled on that final hill.

Although I’m off work on Friday I’m probably off out somewhere so doubt I’ll be racing which is a shame, bit of FOMO myself, even if it’s just to get done over off you lot
