The race organiser can opt in/out of having HR as a requirement for ZP results.
Normally in the info for event they will specify wether it’s a requirement.

So beaten by two 60kg riders, one if whom is DQd from most of his races for going over 250w or no HR
I was reading on the Zwift forum about it.
It’s been going on for years.
Nobody has ever done anything about it.
It’s never going to change.
Cat system needs a total overhaul.
Either everything is AutoCat, or they use the ranking system (UK, USA, VTT, whatever)
Someone who’s won umpteen Cat B races should probably be racing in A and picking their courses to suit their weight (which is always winning Cat B riders - 90kg 380W monsters, convenient enough to not be 4W/kg)
Got a lady in today’s event.
Cat B, 65kg with 5.1avg. conveniently 249watts.
She’s also 130cm tall
What race is that?
Can’t see any results or signups for you today?
Wahoo le col at 11.30.
Just a recce for Tuesday. Only did lap and bit. Burritos were pissing me right off.
No burritos on Tuesday, just the anvil which is going to be as much use as a chocolate fireguard
Least people using the anvil won’t affect me.
I quit out after getting smashed by 2 you the main hill.
I’m hoping Tuesday isn’t quite as brutal as that…tho I suspect it’ll be worse 🤦
Yeah I hate burritos
It’s going to an interesting one, attritional with people being dropped each time up Harlem Hill and the sprint is going to be as much about the kick up before it as the sprint segment itself
Agree with the sprint.
390w up Harlem first time and I’m up the front.
376w the second time and out the back and dropped (blaming burritos!!).
Found maintaining position in the pack so hard. Found myself gapped twice, once after the finish banner, the other as you swapped sides on mini map. Tiny hill, wasn’t concentrating as the pack descended.
She must be stocky! You mean 4.1/kg? Otherwise she’s doing big watts!
No was 5.1… I hadn’t done the maths. So no idea how she’s cheated that system.
Today’s winner was 89kg, 8th placed 101kg and the first person under 70kg back in 25th.
8th place just smashing out 360watt AVG 🤷
Agree the cheating is pretty rampant and the weight doping gets a bit silly.
Not sure how the zrl guys are finding it but that seems to have deteriorated also?
Think is is why I like the ttt. Just a good workout with your mates and don’t have to worry about people playing the system to distract from your enjoyment of the event.
Other events just use as motivation to use the turbo and don’t worry about results. Found some good group rides and increasingly use these as my go to rather than the race events.
Do you guys look for results on Zwift, or on Zwift Power?
If the latter, aren’t they weeding out the obvious cheating?
Quatch quest group ride for me, stuck with a group of about 20 until the Alpe which was ~3.2W/KG and the odd dig. Then made my own way up the Alpe, was about 12th at the bottom and started picking it up with about 6K to go and I thought I could get under 2 hours, and moved up to 6th.
1:56 with 247W AP and 56 flat up the Alpe, was manageable but I was getting a bit carried away at the end
Slightly battered now but needed a decent long effort, Wattbike reckoned 86k!
Different rules for women.
Yeah but 5.1wkg at 65kg doesn’t come in at 249.
So regardless of what cat. That doesn’t add up unless I’m missing something
250W cap
You have to have an FTP of >250W to be in Cat A.
You can be 10W/kg with a 249W FTP and be in Cat B forever.
Frustrating day bodging lights in my shed, gave up when it went dark & jumped on random Zwift race- 3 laps of champs Elysees
It was looking like coming down to a sprint, and I have the sprint of a newborn kitten, so I decided to kamikaze it from 2km out.
Didn’t completely work, of the group of 7 , four came back past me. But 2 lost the will to live and finished 15 seconds back so not a complete disaster.
Got a new lump on the power curve
But no points
At least shed doesn’t appear to be on fire yet
Paris is not a course for us!
