Virtual Zwift Rides

I guess a hardware company buying a software platform is kind of the reverse of Zwift diversifying into selling trainers.

I would have thought that if you run a platform you want to encourage users with as many different types of hardware as possible and if you make hardware you want it to be useable on any platform the user wants to use.

Presumably there’s private equity investors behind this type of merger, planning their exit.

Is it just me or have they been making changes to the stylesheet and font on ZP? Looks a bit easier to read actually.

Raging!
ZRL… Sprinters paradise in Richmond.
One team had 5 of 6 riders with over 1000watts. Plenty of other 1k watters too.

4 feather power ups and 3xp bonuses. FRO Zwift. It’s hard enough as it is.
By the time the uphill finish came was already dead.

10mins recovery on bathroom floor was a pb tho :face_vomiting:

That finish :face_vomiting:

My team got 2nd, 4th and 9th (me) and some FAL and FTS so could be holding top or 2nd spit in the league.

Turns out there’s a reason I’ve got down to 500 points and not actually riding your bike is one of them!

Did Bologna and about 40 seconds down on a month or so ago, although I possibly went off a bit too quick though, think there’s more time to be made by saving something for the last 2k.

Still a decent workout after about a month of hardly riding and no racing on there. Can’t see if I’ve got any points or not yet though.

Edit: got 41 points!

Oh yeah, and a guy that’s 175cm but weighs 56KG and is not an amputee going on his Strava pics

Power ups were messed up for me too

Out of the six sprints I had one aero and one van, the rest XP and feathers :man_facepalming:
Which contributed to not getting a sniff of any sprint points.

Got 7th at the finish though

I somehow got 10th FTS on the final sprint… Mainly just trying to stay in the pack.
4th for the team. Keeps us in 2nd, just.

Germans in first are just in a different league.

Germans just racked up 428 points in one of the highest ranked B divisions…

Yeah agreed. That bike preview from zwift didn’t go down too well. I’ve got a beat up bike on my trainer, I’d like to upgrade to permanent all in one bike trainer in the future.

I see I’m just behind you in the points. And now a C as well!
I’ve been enjoying the workouts and group rides too much.
My bike consistently drops the chain if I try to sprint so I’ve given up on any races needing a sprint finish.

I rarely do those races now as well because I’m that bad at sprinting, and the Wattbike lag.

Oh, and my lack of tactical skills :joy:

The Ride button is ‘hidden’ away now!

Intermediate points have far too much weight compared with finish points, IMHO

I watched the race last night. Like @Daz I was incredibly proud of the performance last night, and in the race a week ago. @Daz and I have been racing with these lads since the start of BL13, but they have raised their game to a new level. To be honest I am really glad I am not at the standard to race with the “A” team anymore, but I am really happy to watch from the sidelines.

I loved the format of yesterday’s race. It was a real team game, team tactics helped BL13 take out 2 of Next’s most dangerouse riders. Michael Gamst, who is a massive diesel, but not as strong at sprinting, really hurt Next by repeatedly going for break aways, and making Next’s sprinters work really hard to cover him, he was really unlucky to get eliminated, but he had already done the damage. Andy Nichols is a massive benefit to BL13, he’s got a decent diesel engine, but his sprint is truely incredible, 18 wkg last night.
