One of my mates did his 5th IM Lanza last weekend. He lives in Dublin and his bike training was 100% indoors on the turbo trainer 
. He does 6 hour turbos and he doesn’t even use Zwift or a similar virtual reality system. He’s just decided that he doesn’t like riding outdoors anymore 
His shake-down ride on Thursday after he arrived in Lanza was his first outdoor ride since IM Lanza last year

He did a 7:40 bike and 15:30 overall.
His bike times are now much slower than they were when he used to ride outdoors, which must be partly due to rusty bike handling skills

Lanza isnt the place you want bad bike handling skills either!

To be fair, his bike handling skills weren’t great before - there’s still a cyclist-shaped dent in a fence near Ditchling where he failed to negotiate a corner that everyone else in the group got round with no drama

Ticked off the 3 little sisters route, entered a race, first hill after 2k and people were pushing 7W/KG got in a little group until the volcano.
Decent workout probably at 250W for an hour, just above 70.3/100 pace, not sure I’d have done that for another 90 minutes then a run though!

Dumbass time - can’t find the pause membership option on zwift, can see the cancel one, thought it might be an option within that section but no good.
Any ides please?
Login here and there is a pause and cancel button.

@symes - I couldn’t do it via iPhone or iPad either, had to log onto the website and Pause it from my Account section there.
On a positive note, good to see someone, like me, holding out on that old email service! I think I set mine up at the end of school, so probs around 2002! Still my primary email

Same with me and the GF, had them that long it’s on loads of systems. In reality it’s probably not that much effort to keep it alive even if they don’t offer new addresses with it.
There was that many signups it was difficult to get a decent one unless you had a rare name like me. The GF got in that early she blagged initialsurname@!!
Obvs that’s not her real name only problem is she gets messages for loads of people

I thought about that, but ive had it 21 years and go no end of spam anyway. Its been leaked by countless websites whi cant keep their customers data safe.
Will remove it though in case anyone starts sending me unsolicited feet pics.
