Virtual Zwift Rides

I’ve got a work thing on until 7:30, on Thursday. Would I be ok to organise a later start time for the TTT so I can join?
If not, no worries, will make it the usual 7:30ish start time.

How much later? I’ve got a massage until 7 but can make 7:30. Probably going to be an hour this week?

Nah, you did the short Fan Flats course.

If you do the full UCI reverse course you effectively have a negative run-in because the start pens are after the finish banner. You actually only do 2 complete laps as the first lap is a few hundred metres short

I’ve booked us in for 7:45. Lots of times available. Could probably do 7:40 at a push.

Agreed @Whisk the longer stage was good fun. I started off around 130th then in the groups did a Pac-Man and gobbled my way to around 50th, enjoyed it.

God, the longer French route and Bologna, tough week ahead then!

I have Tire Bouchon left to do (plus La Reine)

It La Reine on TdZ, not that long but 1181m climbing.

Think I may be about to TTT on Thursday if there’s space, we might be fielding the full pack of 8 forwards for it :rofl:

Yeah, it’s about 2/3rds of the way up Ven-Top.

They used it for stage 2 of Rapha Rising last year. I foolishly rode stage 2 and then did stage 3 on Climbers Gambit 30 minutes later :flushed:

TTT gents… if anyone is interested in seeing the affects of a paceline on draft. My Tues lot were having a practice which I recorded with all the stats on.
They did 2x10 min, 2nd session starting around 32 mins was the better one. Tho the first one also shows the effect of riding 2 or 3 abreast and how you lose all the draft.

They do ride with a set order for the majority, and very much drop once they’ve done there pull (circa 1wkg) - then they sprint back on. If you hold 2wkg or more you have every chance of pushing back into the paceline on the way back.

Might be handy if we can put a large team together!

La Reine TdZ was strangely enjoyable. I was booked on the 1pm event but knew in advance that I probably wouldn’t be ready to start then for various reasons, so I fired up Zwift and joined the event, but didn’t actually start riding until about 7 minutes after the official start time.

The pen was empty when I rolled out in 391st position. I ended up finishing in the top 130 and passed Coco in the last km.
