Virtual Zwift Rides

Well that was my plan but it didn’t quite work out that way. Probably did 350W on the flat before dropping to 320W on the climb. Was hoping I’d be able to up it to 360W on the climb but just didn’t have it in me.

If you flip the 320 and 350 - prob find it easier and faster!!
It is a great course (he says from distant memories!!)

Definitely TT bike. Negative split is the way, my PB was done off 280W on the flat and 317W on the climb for an overall average of 299W

Hmm, I still use the Tron

There are occasional bunch races on Bologna that are ‘fun’ but if it’s a TT then TT bike all the way. I think there could be marginal differences picking a good climbing TT if you have a choice, or going for deep section rims over a disc. But Bologna, it’s not about the bike.

My record was in a group race where we were in a pack until the climb really started, so it looks a bit false.

When I’m feeling brave I might give it a go on a TT bike, it is possible I have at some point :man_shrugging:t2:

But just under max for 6K, imagine fruity is chasing you with an axe for the last 2k :joy:

Sort of did the Tiny series today, well 2 very easy races and came virtually last, stuck with the pack until 1K to go in race 3, then still nearly finished last :joy:

Slightly targeted the last race as it was the flattest, came 22nd, got some points but messed the sprint and the legs were still feeling the parkrun from this morning.

Back riding on Zwift now. Any regular races still going on?

My puny power won’t let me play with the TTT boys right now. Think I rode 220w 3w/kg yesterday and that felt hard enough. Could do with getting back to 250w-280w pretty quickly and then I should be able to roll with you lot on the flats.

Friday lunch series?

All the big stuff about to start if you wanted something team based. ZRL, dirt and ladder all rocking different options (tho Tuesday based for first 2)

Tiny races still dominating Saturdays if you want vo2 he11.

Pacer teleporting also great option now to build endurance at different efforts.

I’ve got a ZRL team if I can ever get my kids to bed in time. They ride at 7.45pm ish.
Will check the others.

I’m finding it frustrating that I used to be able to ride the TT course on Zwift >300w and now even 250w sees me blowing out my arse. Only training will actually fix it…

Race The Worlds at 10 past the hour usually has a decent sized field, although this week it’s two laps of City and The Sgurr which is a bastard

I think thats why Im preferring the ladder racing and the use of zwiftracing app.
Whilst we are still racing higher ranked people - its a bit more obvious when they are classed at a higher rank.

I’m still in my ZRL team - but I’ve got a feeling its going to feel like a Cat A race for at least season 1.

When are they going to ditch the (latest) really long-winded ride-quitting process. 4 Buttons!

You guys thought about a tritalk team for zrl?

I was going to ask if there’s any interest in the TTT in a few weeks, noticed they’ve restarted now.

Just not sure if I want to be butchered by tupps and buzz all winter :grimacing:

At least I’m safe from the sandman :joy:
