Virtual Zwift Rides

You seem very confused. It doesn’t mean squat, it’s just something I’d like to aim for whilst not riding outside.

I also remember someone on the old forum giving me grief for using the phrase ‘I’ll wager’. (I believe you said ‘do you ever listen to yourself?’). and what do I see you writing the other day on here? That very same thing.

Large egos and thin skins probably shouldn’t be lobbing stones champ :+1:

You guys should get a TTT team together for Thu nights WTRL, if you havn’t already?

We’d need an A and a B team mind, I’d be up for B outfit…

How does it work re the start, do teams line up and start together

You get assigned a pen and start time (every 30s or 1 min). When pen clock gets to 0, I start a stop watch to know when to set off. You need to stop peddling 30s before pen opens otherwise you’ll set off before your scheduled time.

First race in D Cat.
Got bored after 30km and span the last lap as a cool down.
Still finished fifth in cat, just below the max W/kg.

ETA: Looks like ZwiftPower has disqualified me as I managed to hold 2.8W/kg for over 20 minutes :rofl::rofl:

Cat C next race then

Any races that are 45mins?

If you press A to get to the pairing screen, you can keep warm whilst you’re waiting

Did Alpe du Zwift today . Trainer difficulty at 100%. Sore legs from yesterday and a hangover.

Took my fat arse nearly 2 hours.

Thought about giving up more than a couple of times but carried on.

I seem to have caught you at a bad moment. Didn’t you notice the  emoji? :slightly_smiling_face:

How does one ride Alpe du Zwift?

I grinded to get level 12 today, but it’s not showing?
Is it just part of a route?

think it’s one of the wattopia routes you can choose, can use it from level 6 onwards these days

Road to the Sky. Select within Watopia routes.

Tour of fire and ice route has it. Other routes like 4 horseman also have it but they are long.

That’s tomorrow sorted

Not surprised! 100% on the Alpe lol. I’m around 20% for everything. I like ot get a feel for the terrain, but not so much that I get caught out and forever changing gears. I find 20-30% is a good place to be. You’d be amazed how much you still feel the changes.

this entirely

Ha ha ha - it’s doing my nut in!

Wednesday 3hr outdoor ride : 208W NP, 137bpm ave. Hilly, but all nice and easy - just enjoying the weather after some DIY.

Sunday 1hr indoor ride (cutting off the last lap used as a cool down) : 236W NP, 160bpm ave. blowing an absolute gasket.

I’m on the TT bike indoors and outside was road bike, which makes a difference.
Trainer is wheel-on, too, not a new fancy direct drive one.

Just gotta figure out how to best translate outdoor power To indoor.
I’m going to give the afternoon 17.7km TT another go on Tuesday this week

If you get the Millensteins on your first climb up there, best keep it to yourself.

not in erg mode are you? lower trainer difficulty, calibrate. should be job done. what smart trainer you using?

BKool Classic, which I upgraded to FE-C, so it’s doing the gradients and downhills now - which I really feel!

Its somewhere in the region of 20-30% in the settings on Zwift, following comments above.

Don’t know where the calibrate is- just turn it on and it’s all go.
I’ve got power pedals, which is where the power reading is coming from. Out on the road they’re fine. Just inside :sob::sob::sob:
