toast shouts “Im toast”, ride on shouts “ride on” it doesnt actually give one. To do that you clock on a dot or if you click on yourself it gives a bunch of ride ons to people around you. U-Turns, you have to hold down. you’ll notice the button slowly changes to a different shade
ah cheers mate, I will try it next time.
Thanks. I dont have the sound on on my computer so have never heard that. Would explain why I think it doesnt work.
I have got the U turn one to work though
Yeah I have my sound muted as well. Gotta have those bangers on the BT speaker.
I love races that go like that, sounds like a really good effort. Probably means you are getting close to upgrate to Cat A, don’t worry, its not as bad as you might imagine
80-100% trainer difficulty really works for me, its really personal, but suits my style of riding. I have tried lower difficulty setting and always get worse results, probably nothing to do with the difficulty setting, but psycologically its in my head that I need to have difficulty turned up high
First time making the front B pack this evening all the way to the line. I just cannot sprint to save my life. I’ve hit 800w or so in the past (still rubbish!) but I’d had to work so hard this evening I could barely muster 600. Finished 27th on zwiftpower, 2s behind the lead sprinter. Certainly an improvement.
No power pbs, but I was certainly working!
I did Lutscher reverse tonight, was going to go out on my bike but it was forecast rain.
I missed off the first bonus climb by creating a meetup and inviting someone and told them not to bother, saved 30 minutes
if anyone wants to do the same on courses with a long leadout.
I want to do the whole course but still need to set a meet up. I was going to invite you.
Sorry, it was a late decision. But if you do a meetup it does cut the first climb off, so you’d always miss that climb on a meetup.
ah ok. In that case I will wait until Friday when it’s back the calendar and do both ways in one day. That should give me approx 1600 mtrs.
I did the BC race this evening, short and punchy 3x volcano CCW. Man that was painful, made the front group and held on to the finish. Because it was short, the pace stayed high throughout and noone got away. Was in the mix with a big group until the final run in, there’s the slope up into the volcano and I used energy staying in contact then the next kicker strung everyone out and I missed the finale. 22nd on zwiftpower and within 7 seconds of the lead. It gave me 289w average and 293NP so right up at FTP and a little beyond.
I was pretty stoked at riding 4.4wkg this morning on the time trial for 7th/6th on Zwiftpower until I saw the winner had done 21.49 for Tempus Fugit with 411W 6.4wkg.
Does the Hammer work? Tried it once, and nothing!
yep, does for me as long as my volume is turned up which it usually isnt
So what is it, like a catapult or something? Why is sound important? Can you use it in races?
i thought it was nothing more than a bit of ‘banter’.i.e. lettign people know when it’s ‘Hammer Time’, You know as useful as the wave function.
Unusually for me I went for a solo Zwift ride. I like 3 Sisters, but wanted to put in a bit of an effort today I ended up with all 3 KOM shirts, with a PB on each climb… its rare enough to get one shirt, so all 3 feels pretty special
19:20 up EPIC KOM @ 351w
6:56 up Volcano KOM @ 353w
It’s no use at all. Utterly pointless. I like to wave as I blast past someone though
Entered my first Zwift race on a whim today.
Bit weird that I’ve never entered one before really as I spend quite a bit of time on there!
8 laps/ 10 miles of Crit City in the B group. Gave myself no warm up and entered the start pen with about 45 seconds to go. Gave it some to start but the A lead group quickly binned me. Settled into a second group with around 8 guys in and stayed there for the rest of the race. Weirdly had no position or rider list on the right of the screen so had no idea what was really going on position wise. Found the surges hard going, haven’t done any efforts like that in ages. Found it easy enough to stay in the group though which swelled throughout the race. Generally the race felt a bit hectic and too short really. Would probably look for something longer next time.
Just over 20 minutes and 296 ap 3.9 w/kg brought me in at 19th on Zwift power. 1:30 behind the leaders
I did the Astoria 8 Sunday chase 34k in just under an hour. That killed me as the pace was relentless from the start , ok you chase the other cats down but my Cat did not let up all race and I was spat out the back gearing up for the final lap
