Watcha watchin'?

So, Tinie Tempah last night?

Two decent extensions, but I wouldn’t say either of them were “extraordinary”

And as for a surgeon and bond trader only having £110k “life” savings :rofl::rofl:

I recognise most of the words in your post, but none of the meaning.

saw French Despatch last night - directed by Wes Anderson and quite a stellar cast ( Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson. Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Elisabeth Moss, and Anjelica Huston to name a few)

summary: Weird

But very well made and some overtones of his Isle of Dogs in parts.

Bonus: Lea Seydoux - you’ll recognise her from 007’s Spectre and No Time to Die - without her clothes. Nice. :grinning:

That was a bonus

Seeing that this weekend at the local Arthouse Cinema, looking forward to it.

I think Javis Cocker is in it too.

Sans or dans clothes? :joy:

yeh - very minor part he has. Took me ages to realise the character who was Benicio del Toro - strong disguise.

the other Lea Seydoux bonus - when she gets dressed as the Prison Officer character she plays - very S&M like, almost better than when she’s naked.

I like arthouse but honestly, that trailer made the film look like such pretentious chardonnay socialist BS that I’ll give it a miss.

I’m the opposite.
He annoys the fook out of me.

Why is that such a surprise?

High earners seem to be able to find things to spend their money on that those of us on more modest incomes wouldn’t dream of.

Mainly because they’re both “burn out” professions, where you tend to peak your earnings far earlier than other professions.

So I’d have assumed, to maintain standard of living, they would have squirrelled away more and not spunked it all on an extension?

And I’ll add - why the hell didn’t they replace the god awful brown leaded uPVC glazing upstairs and to the front, too?
Good luck getting scaffold over that extension now

We were thinking of going but missed it at our local. One of those that appears for a week and then disappears.

Find those type of films morbidly fascinating. Never quite sure what I’ve watched when I walk out but the proper escape from reality.

It’s like how a project expands to fit the time it’s given, and junk accumulates to fit the living space you have: Outgoing increases to, and usually beyond, your income.

How the hell did they manage to piss £140k on such a small extension? and the other one in the Cotswolds just looked odd

Those sofas looked about £5k a pop.
They spunked a lot on the tiles and “finish” by the sounds of it.

The Cotswold one looked odd as the new extension roof didn’t “interface” with the existing building - stopping just short as a massive edge.
Very odd.

Still, I enjoyed it and it’s a refreshing alternative to Grand “visitor centre” designs :+1:t3:

You’ve not been round mine :+1:t3:
Loads of empty space.

I’m not sure, I don’t drink but is that like an African or European sparrow?

That’s only because your bijou, bespoke, made to order foot stool hasn’t arrived yet!
