I have long arms and legs so the 56cm makes more sense a better fit for me. I’m down your way next week to collect the boy from uni and he has the trinity at his halls if you want a look & ride?
They’ve got really expensive and Cervelo have no TT bikes in the country.
I looked at a Lios recently, really nice but mandatory electric shifting bumps the cost
A lad I know has just got a Cadex but at £6.5k for the frame that’s me out!
There’s some deals on Giant Trinity’s but it’s quite an old design now and uses rim brakes, that depends on what your wheels or other bikes use. Rim brakes will vanish entirely in a couple of years I think
Agree, while I don’t think that disc brakes are enough of an excuse to upgrade a perfectly good bike, the difference is vast.
I find myself choosing the disc bike over the rim bike almost every time now.
Mungo I don’t need it posting in here again
Still tempted, but price prob still a bit over what I want to pay.
Sorry !
Was that the one you posted originally ?!
Talking to a lad who bought the vitus tri bike with discs off the e bay wiggle site it needed a chainset and a saddle ( it was unridden?!)
I’ll keep my eye out anyway !
Yeah. Had a few chats with him.
Say just a bit over budget and over priced I think.
Still tempted mind.
Yes that eBay site can be a gold mine.
I’ll “ probably “ sell mine in the next few months
The front is still too aggressive for this old man and my e116 is actually faster with me on it certainly with any form of hills involved…
It’s a small I’m 171 cms but with long legs for my midgit frame I spoke to a guy who was slightly taller and he went for. Small brand new from Merlin.
Probably get a disc brake tt bike a basic one
Ive seen that one too, not far from me. Looks tempting(compo money coming in this week)
About £3k wasted, IMO.
You’ll not go faster on it.
£500 for 11sp and some of the other stuff is okay.
Di2 is like “upgrading” from normal fries to sweet potato. It’s not an upgrade
Not directly no.
But a bike I’ll enjoy riding more, means I’ll ride it more.
I love my di2 on roadie…esp having ability to control Garmin. As I’m older than 41 and have poor vision, I’m using less data fields. So want to change screens now and then.
Being able to shift on base bars would also be very welcome.
Auto scroll. Medium.
Sorted
Hate it… Cause it’s never on the screen I want.
I don’t want a computer controlling me
So why do you have a Garmin?
Still pricey though! Westies are local to me, bought a couple of bikes off them over the years.
He ordered the disc argon … twice I think had all kinds of bother so went for the Scott.
He’s loaded … nice fella too, bombed a bit at Lanza recently ( 12 something ) so he’s all in for wales now.
It’s no different to someone buying a Ferrari I suppose if they’ve got the means.
Just feel a bit daft when you’ve got the kit and are having a bad day!
I found out that it’s slightly faster and more comfortable walking in vaporfly’s at Hamburg
He’s pretty quick 4:30 unbranded half Ironman In Recent years think he’s 40-45?
He’s the guy who was j going great guns at Wales ( hour swim his worst discipline) when his carbon tri shoe snapped in half ?!
I can’t imagine how that wouldn’t be a game over ?!
