Will AB be back or decide Kona is not for him?

He’ll be back!

Can’t imagine he’d be motivated to race for a top 10 finish which is the reality.

Frodo to retire?

Ali won’t quit till he’s won it. This was his 1st full IM

Lucy back to 2nd yay

LCB just taken crowley back!

Fair play to Lucy!!

Crikey, that repass of Crowley by LCB reminds me of Rocky and Apollo Creed in the second film, when the man who stood up would win…

Can’t help thinking that solo slog on a windy day didn’t help Lucy, no one to share the work and only an odd pro male to pick off.

It’s very easy to switch off as well.

Any ideas what happened to Ryf? Might shut Sutton up.

Great racing by Joe though, we’ll have to see about AB, haven’t listened to his interview but not sure if racing in Ireland a few weeks ago and Nice was the perfect buildup?

4 hrs sleep and a whole household of illness. Yey. I hope the race was worth it! :mask::face_with_thermometer:

Wow, just got up and saw LCB was 2nd and assumed she’d held Crowley off. To dig in and re-pass at the stage of the race is so gutsy, especially when her main goal had gone.

Seems like a great race in the women’s.
Fair play to Ryf for sticking it out and finishing.
Along with AB and LS.
Think a few on here have had faster IM run splits than his a their debut IM

Frodo is in a class of his own.
That’s a truly stunning performance.
2:42 marathon :scream:

Skipper is very young, comparatively, and will be back and on the podium soon enough.
What a classy guy.

Is that in their own age groups? Eg Foggy showing as 27th overall non-pro for me.

Also amazed to learn about the LCB pass/repass. Glad those staying til the end got their value!

Tough for AB, and tough for us to comment after one year. But if I’m to do just and be a keyboard warrior I say he’ll be back (maybe after attempt at Tokyo), but it’s not like he’s Skip and will keep making natural gains, hes trained pro level for 10-15 years. Some more specificity could see him top 10, and win other races that suit him better including 70.3, but is that enough to see him past say 2022 at pro level? I doubt it.

I saw that your roll-down spot (the Clapham Chasers chap) did a 9:51…any second thoughts about not going?

Haug won by more than 6 mins having started over 8 mins back. That is an incredible run!

Great sub 10! Think he’s @stenard clubmate who said he really wanted his slot so hope he got the experience he wanted. Time looks right judging by other people who did UK.

No FOMO until I saw the first photos of our two lads starting the run and giving it the smiles and thumbs up. That was a goosebumps moment just imaging the buzz of getting there and seeing loved ones again, although that might just be my relief at getting off a bike.
