That is hilarious. Dan is such a hypocrite, but it is empire and he can rule over it as he likes. Regardless, Slowtwtich is complete trash. The forums are full of people who only seem to care about gear. Other than Kona you almost never get race discussion. It is an empty vessel.

That’s ridiculous. I’ve generally found his moderation fairly light touch in the past with only unsubstantiated doping allegations and such like getting the axe.

Lucy’s performance, fade and comeback made the women’s race, but Haig had the stones.

Way way back in the day, there was a bit of an Aussie pile on with ST as they were getting bent out of shape about the domination from Down Under.
Empfield threw his toys out of the pram, came over to Transitions and threatened to have everyone in Australia who contributed to the pile on sacked!

Not sure I agree on Brownlee pushing Frodo to new heights but…no doubt AB made it interesting.
I think for both AB and LCB, they’re both amazing athletes but tactically I’d love to see them think and approach a race slightly differently.
That said, I think the two winners were pretty much unbeatable yesterday…shit happens! What a great week it’s been regardless, enjoyed every moment.

I think AB played into Frodos hands. He needed strong swimming allies to push the bike pace and gap Lange and/or the uber bikers.
AB played his part but probably at too big a cost to himself.
The only way I can see LCB winning is if she can turn herself into an uber biker and take even more advantage of her swim lead. I don’t think she has the run to wait for the pack.

Yes, great as she is it’s hard to see Lucy winning. That swim is such a weapon that she almost has to hang out front gun to tape and that’s a very tough way to win a race like Kona.
She’ll need 10 minutes on the runners, probably lucked out a bit this time with Daniela and there were no bikers who brought the chase closer. Hard to see a scenario where she builds 3-4 more minutes by T2. Hope I’m wrong!
I think people forget LCB is 6-10 years younger than Ryf/Haug and has only been running and biking for 4-5 years.
She has loads of gains to make and they will be well retired by the time she hits 30
