Think they may have both fallen off their bikes!
Kienle was a collar bone type issue. Can’t remember what Jan’s was now.

Yeah, I saw Jan when I briefly watched a bit of the virtual Breakfast with Bob series. Not sure he’ll be racing thinking it through. He seemed to indicate he’d been fairly badly hurt and had only recently got back to some kind of training, although I may be wrong.
The initial list of 40 are those eligible for a start spot but not a list of confirmed starters.
I’d imagine a fair few won’t show. Local quarantine rules for anyone returning from the US will be an issue.
If they’re releasing the last round of wildcards tmw, I’m guessing a final start list will follow.
What was the actual date of the race?
George Goodwin was on the latest OA podcast. He was saying the PTO are coordinating visa and travel exemptions for all the athletes, so I would assume it will be like other elite sport (soccer, athletics, etc) where those people don’t need to observe the standard quarantine restrictions.
At least that’s the case in much of Europe. The Aussie athletes don’t get that luxury from what I understand.
On the female side I think Lisa Norden will be right up there. She’s a good swimmer, really strong cyclist and a much better runner than I thought. I have been watching the old ITU races and she is so consistent and has been racing bikes at a really high level since then while doing well dabbling at middle distance.
Think so, doesn’t look like he’s in great form though with not going great at the Super League and then missing a few races since.
