Any ideas how far it is?
Edit, on Watopia and about 28K

Got a link?
Iām def up for this but am concerned I may not be fast enough to ride with some of you guys.
If there are more than 8 of us, how about a 2nd Tri Talk team? Would that still work if all riders had (tritalk) in their zwiftpower user name or would the second team need something like (tritalk2)?
Confused
Have set up zwiftpower account & wrtl account but is it too late to register for tomorrow? I am seeing a message āregistration closedā
Edit: sorted I think thanks Stenard
Name changed on Zwiftpower - do I now need to be recruited ?
You only need one person to register the team, which Matt has done. All everyone else needs to do now is join the race in the appropriate start pen, and change your name on zwiftpower to precisely the correct team name in round brackets, no spaces. The WTRL site will then automatically pull you into the right team.
Matt will then communicate the precise start time delay from the banner drop once the final team start times are allocated.
Assuming your Andy Newham, might be worth on zwift power joining tritalk in your profile.
We are all grouped together and you are not.
Chris Tye needs to update his zwift profile name with the⦠(TriTalk)⦠Suffix
Correct. He currently wonāt count to the teams time in the WTRL standings.
I see you all currently have a full 8. If anyone has to drop out, give me a shout and Iāll try and join to top the numbers back up
Discord Link
Please make sure you can use the voice functionality before the ride
Wow what a response
I havenāt received our start time yet, but will let you know as soon as I do
It would be great if everyone could use the voice functionality on Discord⦠Its strange talking (to real people from Tritalk, however, it really does help organise ourselves.
We all need to be in the start pen by 1902. Safest strategy is not to pedal between 1902 and our start time. However if you need to pedal to keep your trainer awake, the only safe screen is the Pairing screen, shown below. If you can see this screen you can safely pedal and your Avatar will not move (@stenard have I got that right?)
To get there in the game, Press Menu button
Now press Pair
Even though the screen above says PAUSED, it is misleading, if you pedal, your virtual bike will move
Good luck guys. At least this route is a bit more familiar and the climb longer/steady, better rhythm. Iām not TTTing tonight. Alternating weeks because I have to race Thu mornings too. Matt youāre a stronger man than me
Alpe TT on Tuesday
Real 30km TT last night (won the free beers for the night)
WTRL TTT tonight
KOA Lunchtime today
All correct. People need to be in the start pen before 7:02. Ignore the 7:09 team start time ⦠if you arenāt in the pen before the banner drop, you wont ride.
You can shortcut to the pairing screen on a computer just by pressing āAā on the keyboard. āEscā will then get you straight back to the game. The route Matt has outlined is the longer way, and also takes longer to get back to the game.
@stenard if you want to ride tonight I donāt mind dropping out, especially as Iām still nervous about the Wattbike doing itās own thing and ruining things again.
As Iām racing at lunchtime as well, Iām certainly happy just to be a last minute backup. I also have (virtual poker) plans at 8pm, so would be cutting it fine!
Set up 2 laptops & do both at the same ti, ? You are after all a multisport athlete
Thanks Matt for the idiots guide above, much appreciated here.
Joined Discord chat⦠couple of stupid questions;
Other than "GO GO GO " and āIām done/my last stintā - what other kinda commentary we expecting or is useful? Iām somewhat worried of my ability to speak if we are up at 4w/kg.
Secondly - how much background noise is there from those of you running fans? My garage is part sauna and I normally run 3 fans. Donāt want to drown the chat out.
Last week we used Discord to manage pace at the front. If you are struggling (eg on an incline), would be really useful to ask the peloton to back off. It would be great to keep together, unless others disagree, we are not going for glory, however, if you feel you are done let the rest know that so that we donāt slow down.
The course is 3 laps, and each lap has a climb towards the end. I think that communication on the climb is essential because we need to be together before the descent. On the Descent, there will be around 1 minute recovery for people Drafting
There was no issue with fan noise last week, although I did hear some heavy breathing
