Zwift Team Time Trial

Yeah some good points there. I think i also got a bit carried away with that first, initial leap in fitness/power when i started riding. Now the curve is flattening a tad, and i need to work a bit harder.

I think i was just in a frump that i had such a bad day yesterday, when i’d been looking forward (sad i know) to the TTT all week, especially after a couple of good sessions last week.

Chest is a bit tight this morning and mini GB #2 has a snotty nose, so could be early signs of something mixing in the household.

Some days it just rolls that way GB, despite not feeling 100% you held on strong & helped team finish in a decent time :+1:

I felt really good last night, no idea why except that had a day off rather than rushing back from work. So was more relaxed maybe. Also calibrated power meter yesterday - hadn’t done that for several weeks & I wonder if it had been out maybe, as recently seemed to take more effort to produce the watts. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Anyway looks like tritalk2 had a decent place, 280th-ish if I’m reading right?

Already looking forward to next week. I don’t get out much.

It got really messy at the end as we passed 2 teams and we were passed by the team behind, just approaching the line, hence I couldn’t see where the rest of the team were… I may also have got a bit carried away with a sprint at the end, trying not to be passed by the guy doing 11w/kg who was chasing me down

Yesterday, everyone was able to keep up comfortably when I was pushing 320w on the flat and 350w downhill, however, as soon as we came to a climb I had to back off to 250-270w otherwise the group would be split.

I’m back down to A as I raced with faulty PM that dropped me under the threshold for A+

You should run with the camera facing backwards so I can stop telling you to slow down
I was fine on the hills, but definitely the lumpiest course we’ve done - so w/kg having much more impact than the raw power on the flat courses (which I’ve found harder).
Downhills felt like a recovery last night which was good.

When the gap is 1s it is already too late. I tried switching my view to one of the riders behind, but it kept giving me wide angle and overhead shots and was really messing with my brain. Ideally I would like a forward looking view from 5m behind me

You were putting out some big numbers last night, often over 4W\Kg, shame you can’t do the earlier starts.

I actually liked the YouTube video above.

My power has been fairly similar for a few years, but at 75kg (currently) I’m reasonably heavy for my age, although my body fat % is probably only around 13-14%

Also find it tough to lose weight and now 50 :frowning:

I’m pretty much mid-B right now. Can’t seem to get much beyond 3.7 and I’ve lost a bit recently with my new project stopping me from exercising as much.

Anyone in for this Thursday?

I’m hoping to, technology permitting. Prefer something around 7.

think so

I have registered TriTalk1 for the normal Time/cat (just in a bid to reduce time in the pen). Need to work out when it opens so can get P1 and can go when the banner goes up.
Zone 5, Cat D, 7pm

Think was about 11th team registered this week.

Not for me, I have a race on Saturday.

I’m in as long as 7pm or later :+1:

I’ve registered TriTalk2 for 7:40 again… as per last two weeks, Zone 6 Pen B

Not sure whether 1 or 2 yet, couple of TTs at the weekend so want fresh(ish) legs and there’s a few digs on the Astoria 8 course.

Yeah I’m in. Assuming my ass muscle is recovered, which I think it should have.

Think I’ll be good for team 2 :+1:

On their FB page someone queried how they allocate start times and they’ve said it’s random generated.

Have tried registering on day opens and having all riders registered early and seems to make no difference to when you get the go.
