2020 Goals

If IMUK is A race you’ll be good, ones before are a good build. If you really wanted to be strong at Prudential then you’ll still have some fatigue from IMUK most likely, but not too much that can’t still enjoy and be close to your best if it’s not the main priority. Plus if have good base level already IMUK still far enough away that can decide now, not too late to get a very good block of work done.

I’m aiming to complete my first 70.3 at Weymouth.

Trying to come up with a decent training plan at the moment but there’s so many factors to consider!

Compete at Southport Triathlon for me (provisional 2nd August - be a nice day out)

Bought the house, all ready to renovate it now.
Just doing “free” stuff for now, until I’m back in proper work :+1:t3:

Okay, I’m generously giving myself a point for two 1h50 half marathons.:tada:

More fish ain’t happening now the Mrs is in full command of the kitchen and shopping. Null point.:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Less alcohol I’m revising to more alcohol - so quick win, and another point for me :tada:

Consistent low volume training…well after a bit of a waiver I think I’m on for that and I’ve got my weightlifting kit in the garage, so…On course.

PB at Ironman Barcelona still theoretically possible…

Nope. All current planned marathons available to me now are hilly, so looking for sub3’s only
Yep, all gone. Though the shit on my chest/cough/tiredness I had does sound similar to a new virus floating about  (though it cant be as it only originated in December right?)
1st part done, now need to fail the lottery later in the year.
Done, none on anyhow.
Already at 2200 so looking good at the moment. Must not get injured chasing segments…

Started applying for jobs, with main applications opening June. Who knows if will actually be possible even if could happen.
Money saved, with potential house deposit on top. :heavy_check_mark:
Lucky to see new niece twice in Feb/Early March. New Zoom/Lockdown means I talk to family probably more often than used to. No lockdown meltdowns with the girlfriend yet :heavy_check_mark:
All new training/learning cancelled at work, but continuing to learn where I can, and enjoying it. :heavy_check_mark:
Was in fantastic shape pre-lockdown, would have been confident of a good race at Staffs :heavy_check_mark:

So not been derailed that much really.

New goals:

Stay fit and healthy enjoying baseline exercise (~6hrs a week for me)
Run < 5 minute mile, and sub 17 minute 5k.
Read 2 books by end of June (One of which will be Sapiens)

You’ve missed the important one!

Going for a run on the moors :grinning:

I’ll be claiming visiting family, but there’s a nice 21km loop including roseberry and captain cooks once I can go across!

Against all expectations, the 100TT is on and I’ve got an entry :grimacing:

Need to decide how seriously I am going to take it. Had intended to invest in a new helmet and tri-suit/skinsuit, so do I take the plunge now, or put a marker down with my current Castelli Free-Speed top and Air Attack helmet and plan on buying speed later.

Which one are you doing?

It’s the National 100
Not through choice, just it’s local to me. In fact if the modified course is to be believed it now goes even closer to my front door.

Looks hilly
Some savage inclines on there

Nice!

Both my 100s were cancelled and I couldn’t work another into the schedule, I would have travelled as well, esp for the National.
