I only exercise fasted if it’s a run/bike first thing; otherwise I exercise during the day at the moment, whilst the kids are at school. When I do my 2h run carrying a heavy pack, I usually have some nuts and a banana before I head out, because that isn’t really an easy session. Yes I keep that 14h in place pretty much everyday.
Feel fine; say finish dinner at 18.30 I eat breakfast at 08.30. So if I run at 07.00 for an hour, it works well. If you’re training at 05.00 or whatever, I would eat when you’re hungry, or keep it at 12h fasting period. The biggest thing really for me, is not eating anything between dinner and bedtime.
I just do 14h because it’s convenient and manageable for me. YMMV !
I always used to run AM fasted. I am having to eat more now that I’m cycling too. I just don’t recover or am able to train if I don’t. Quality of diet always seems to help. Don’t fair well if just eat rubbish but when eating cleaner and getting a lot of greens/good fats etc in I feel great and recover more readily.
floating around 63kg mark. Years of running. Haven’t weighed myself tho in years. Used to just pinch myself. You can feel when you’re getting sharper. I’m no model athlete, if anything I could prob do with getting some gym sessions in. Lost some muscle mass after bout of pneumonia few years ago.
G friend can’t understand how I can get through a day not eating. She gets so grumpy if she doesn’t eat. I’m the opposite lol
69.6 steady. Lots of shit food and no exercise for two days but surprisingly weight stayed constant, odd. Anyway, today’s salad at lunch no carb and eve meal small smoothie should help matters.
I’ve been putting off posting on thread until I lost some weight (perhaps getting close to what I’ve entered on Zwift ), which I guess misses the point. Having not managed to lose any lets try the opposite approach:
My weight is still not budging so I’ve decided to use https://cronometer.com/ for a week to see what’s going on. Already I can see I am over eating, too many carbs, not enough protein, not drinking enough. Although first day I went through a 200g bag of dried mango which doesn’t help! I’ve been much more restrained today.
I’ve sneaked up a kilo after a really bad last week of beer, wine and bad food. Hoping that slips back to normal in the next week.
Think I’m going to have to drop booze for a few weeks before my race if I want to slip closer to 70, as my exercise level has just reached equilibrium with my current diet.
