2021 - The Weigh In Thread

In a breif experiement while waiting for coffee to brew I’ve managed to shift my weight by about a kilo depending on where the scales are on the floor, so that may well be part of it too. I was given them by an ex-housemate in 2011 and he’d had them for a fair while so they don’t owe anyone much!

I weighed all my bikes on a different floor surface, my actual weight was vastly different … I always weigh myself in the same place at the same time.

4.5 kg is 4.5 litres of water, or an amount of grub only usually seen on man vs food.

Bin them

I’ve been tracking at 71 dead for about 5 days in a row (morning weigh in). Then I went to a wedding party last night.

Played it cool and went as Des. But had a pint of mild ale at the start, a couple of AF beers and then ate my body weight in platter food - cheese, meats, fancy (immense!!!) scotch eggs, chutney, fruit etc.

Weighed in at 70.6 today and felt a tad dehydrated! :joy:

Haven’t been watching too closely so this may be another aberration.

70.6kg :grinning:

New scales tell me 11.6% body fat but don’t believe that for a minute

I’ve been tracking from high 71s to high 70s over the past 10 days or so. So i’ll consider that a small downward trend and a few hundred grams less to carry around on Sunday’s race!

Been very remiss on checking in here recently.
102.0kg as of Monday morning (got down to 92.7kg in Lockdown1 when had a really good routine going)
I’ve got same/similar scales to the ones Paul pictured earlier and they’re showing 29.1%, I also don’t take too much notice of the absolute number but the trend seems pretty reliable and reflects what I would expect to see.

OK confession time, 67.8 today, and then with binge days, back to 69.blah by Sunday, then back down to 67.blip by Wed/Thu, then back up to… I’m not sure whether this is healthy.

Sadly a no-alcohol and shit food day today has to be tweaked due to In-ger-land game

It’s not until people are asking you if you’re seriously ill that you’ve got to race weight

100% the true test, prisoners have no filter…

“Have you got cancer boss? “

But not in a nasty way, there always pleased when I say no, ironic after the last few weeks.

101.4kg, down from 102.0 last week. Exercise was pretty good but diet wasn’t great so definite room for improvement.

Steady downward trend. Though today’s low point was after a long run, so doesn’t really count
