99 % of all the people working out today, that’s probably millions, are doing it for
The mirror( this has to be the main one by far)
To be able to eat more
Habit
Guilt.
If you started mentioning watts per kg, 100 m swim speed and average kph they wouldn’t have a clue what on Earth you were talking about and really wouldn’t give AF.
Young lad in our gym, looks like he should be on love Island, has a vape before before he goes in and one immediately when he gets out.
He looks in fantastic condition, probably some anavar flying about I’m guessing, cardio wise he’s crap, he never does any and doesn’t care, he’s happy each to there own.
just looked however, and my race weight for when I was going at my best (just for clarity, ‘at my best’ is a relative thing….) was 62Kg, so a bit to be done over the next year. The point at which lockdown first started tells a stark story….
Somehow I’m on the first notch of my belt again, despite still being north of 81Kg!!
If I do carry on losing weight I shall need to add an extra hole or two.
After the disaster of the marathon, I’ve been wondering if I’ve been under fuelling
Started using MyFitnessPal, which I know isn’t 100% accurate, but have been weighing food and leaving a 10% margin of error.
Seems I may have been right and could have been well in the red most days.
Started upping my food and adding in more pasta/rice. Also started tracking my weight.
Even at the height of lockdown where I was running 100 miles in a week, I was always around 81-83kg
Since tracking over the last month, I’ve got down to 79kg with no real changes in training. Still eating some chocolate everyday, but trying to get to within 500kcal or less of my target.
Now admittedly, I’ve just done a 3.8km this morning and a 7 mile run, but had a protein bar and two slices of choc toast
Interesting. I am also 6’2" and at weigh in this morning was 76.x kg. Have never managed to get below 75kg though but I don’t really tend to try very hard, but most often end up at 80kg when not paying any attention to diet quality. Heaviest (whilst training lots) was 84kg when training for A2A - I guess the 8 swim sessions a week added a bit of muscle.
At the moment, I would say most meals are good quality (although every few days a meal will be low quality, and probably have snacks & beer 3/4 times a week). But the good quality meals do help me get down under the 80kg mark and keep me there
