74.5…

I feel fat as a pig, but my legs have much more strength, first run is going to be fun… not!

Family is away for a few days. Going to try and up the exercise and reduce the grub and get to sub-80Kg. Presently hovering at about 81.

98.1 this morning. Going away for 10 days. Will see how that works out; it may be 10 days of lots of running and that sort of thing to get some space away from family/niblings, or it may be 10 days of sitting on my arse drinking.

Time will tell…

Do both. Exercise is always a good excuse for a drink.

Intriguing… my problem tends to be that I’ll do one or the other, but maybe I should try this approach out.

Saw 79Kg on the scales yesterday, but I was hungry and dehydrated.
80Kg this morning (after a big fish and chip supper last night) hopefully I can drop at least 100g today and thereafter keep myself sub-80 over the long term.

This thread seems to have gone a bit quiet and I’ve not been posting either.
The last month or so has been really hit and miss with sporadic training and diet to match.
Went away in the van for a long weekend at the end of August and and was quite active whilst away which I’ve never managed before despite best intentions/
I was 100.8kg when I got back and have knuckled down fairly well since.
98.9kg last week but I’m not really believing that, 2kg in a week seems a bit high as I wasn’t on starvation rations.
Back up to 99.6kg this week which is probably about right as, although training has been going Ok, ate quite a lot of crap at the weekend and was expecting a bounce after last week’s low result.

Made through a very quiet month so far with no increase in weight - 71kg this morning weigh in.

Aim now has to be to get to the end of the year without putting too much on so that next year begins lower than last!

Weighed in at 67.15kg this morning, with scales estimating 10.2% body fat. Seems to have dropped a couple of kg while running more than usual.

Diet is OK I think. Wife has pretty much turned vegetarian in the last few years, so me too by default as she does the online shop. I have never been a fan of fried foods, chips or anything with pastry. And since having about 5 fillings all at once in my 20s, am slightly paranoid about too much sugar.

Usual food day is porridge & coffee in the morning, toasted sandwich with salad at lunch time, pasta or rice based meal with fish or veg in the evening, fruity snacks or cereal bars whenever peckish, usually another bowl of cereal or some cheese before bed. And perhaps 2 beers most evenings for a bit of extra padding.

Main dietary vices are beer and cheese.

There’s something I can’t resist about a good doughnut, flapjack or dark chocolate too. Don’t generally set out looking for these things, but if one of them strays across my path it’s always fair game.

Soon as this run block is over + with winter coming in, I’ll inevitably quickly ratchet back up towards 70kg but not usually beyond. May forget to adjust Zwift weight back up though

I’m craving wine just reading all these threads about weight and people on holiday not training :yum:

Postscript - went for a run in the rain instead. Phew :relieved:

98.8kg on Monday, hopefully genuine this time as week before last was similar but just a blip.
Actually starting to feel a bit better already after 3 weeks fairly consistent training.

I’m also 6’2 and currently 73.5kg. Distinct lack of muscle! I used cronometer to track my intake. It said I had too many carbs and not enough protein. Doesn’t help that my wife is a veggie so we don’t eat that much. I try to bump it up with peanut butter wraps at work but that still doesn’t meet (:smirk:) my needs.

If my wife was veggie it would be bacon sandwiches at work rather than peanut butter wraps!!!

And falling… as soon as I start running regularly it falls off me.

72kg this morning

B8gger all exercise this week - still next week back on it.

Mrs T going on liquid diet for the next 6 weeks (to assist with Crohn’s issues) so going alcohol free in solidarity and so that should help

67.1 average for last week - I prefer averages, doesn’t show my beer/shit food few days :grinning:

82.7 for me probably the same as last weigh in months ago

Wow, been a while since I posted here, which was partly due to lack of any progress. Anyway, here’s the latest update:

5th May: 82.6kg @ 5’11" / 180cm
13th May: 82.5kg
20th May: 83.3kg
27th May: 82.75kg
15th Oct: 78.30kg

I’ve been hovering around 80kg for a while now, that’s the first time I’ve seen myself below 79kg, not quite sure where that came from. This week all I’ve done is a track session (Tuesday) & a 1 hour club swim last night. I did do 2 marathons in the last month (Brighton & London), so won’t be able to keep that up!

… thinking about it, I did give blood on Wednesday afternoon, I guess that probably has a slight impact. I’ll remember that tactic for the future

I have been eating fairly well the last few weeks, we’ve been doing Hello Fresh which I think has helped with portion control. The kids have been turning their noses up at them, so we’ve made the meal for 4 last for dinner & lunch for 2 of us.
