2022 races

Nah not really

Well done Chris, brilliant race!

Check the girl in background, if that face doesn’t say ‘When the fuck can we go home’, nothing does.

I was summoning up the cojones to get out of my car & out for a run as it was getting buffeted by wind & rain :joy:.

Nicely played again sir.

Top bombing @Chriswim :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3:

Wow @Chriswim that’s phenomenal!

Wow, an excellent weekend then! Nice when triathlon starts paying you! (not that I’ve ever experienced that of course!). Closest I’ve had was junior golf, where I used to do pretty well out of that once upon a time

Mega! Well done Chris.

We need a trophies thread.

I can claim one pair of socks, one £15 gift voucher for local bike shop, and one bottle of wine although that was as part of a relay team. Not bad for 30 years work eh?

There is a local race Gold Hill 10km which is sponsored by a local pottery. The prizes are really nice plates and bowls. The friend I run with has been first vet four times I think, and won a bowl each time. However he has five kids, so needs to win three more times in order to have a full breakfast service for his family.

Did I ever mention I’m still the reigning Yorkshireman M45 champion :joy::joy::joy:

I need to cling to anything these days

Matlock Athletics Tri (MARS Tri)
They do a MASSIVE greengrocers hamper for the top 3.
I came fourth :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Beaten by someone from the gym and a very handy TriTalker (hopefully I’ll beat him at some point), plus some random I didn’t know.

Late to this @Chriswim - great stuff. Do you have any more races planned before the Ironman?

No London Mara for me this year - refusal email today

Was expecting it (again ) given the number of deferrals from last year but still, we live in hope

First multisport event for me since September 2019 last weekend! :scream:

A offroad sprint cross bike duathlon in Thetford Forest, 4k/10k/4k, managed to come home in 2nd place! Nice feeling to add another trophy to the small collection

Just catching up, great work. So what happens to the massive great cheques then, when it all dies down after…

They’re normal size cheques in Oz, that’s why they all drive pickups to drive their oversized stuff everywhere.

They’re everywhere!

I love the plain language.

They are not scale models or oversized artifacts.

They are big things
