His pace is getting quicker on the bike - I’m wondering if he had a flat within that first split - cruising along at 33kph atm

Everyone’s times look a bit slower on the first split, so maybe just terrain? Or inaccurate mat position (would be quite far out though).
Through 62km in 2:10, 3:28 overall.
Also tracking a “friend” in the FPro 70.3 race, running 11th at the moment. Niki Bartlett looking good for 2nd.

The big climb is pretty early looking at the map, within the first 20km, so split might just reflect that. Great swim @joex

Yes, I think you’re right Paul. They head up into the Sintra hills early doors. I only had to come down that in the 70.3 I did a few years ago, it’s bloody rapid coming down it

He’s a good swimmer and biker but not the fastest runner from what I can see on his training.
