2022 Weigh-in Thread

Some impressive “ things” on this site.

Super fast race results, huge training days and love the bling too!

But that one is right up there…. Keep it going big guy!

I think when I hit a certain age I’m going to go, ‘f’ck it’ - spend all my time hosting dinner parties in my studio, work to the small hours off my box on gin. The best years are ahead of me!

I think it’s all really impressive. :+1:

I decided this year, as a fat twat, to suck it up. The results were erm less than impressive. At last sprint I was very very close to run being slower than bike!

I weigh about same as you. Erm, but slightly shorter. However, im off on hols soon (mainly spending a fortnight outside Folkestone apparently) and will no doubt put on weight…

When I get back, on it like a car bonnet…have another sprint beginning of September and goal is to not suck so bad in the run….

I think you’d surprise yourself if you entered a sprint right now, as in, you’d do ok in S&B. Obvs R would be a bit difficult……

And- apropos of this- can’t we have a TT smack down that’s Oly distance for the recuperating/fat triafletes out there?!

It’s the journey not the destination

ie being sat in a queue outside dover is better than france.

I was talking more about the creative journey … hang on, I need to roll a spliff … right where was I?…

That’s also quite an unfair and literal interpretation of the Bildungsroman old boy. Hic

Just won’t doooooo…oooo!

Guy Crouchback of course couldn’t be seen to sit in a car. Oh Nooooo! Oh dear boy, of course - he has to go through the many travails to grow as a man. Oh dear! it’s so much more than the, ahem, tunnel sous Le Manche

My thespian talent is wasted here. I should be treading the boards…

Alas no. Ellesmere on 4th. Kids doing their own triathlon on 18th at Christleton. Tried to work out if I could sneak in a Nantwich entry and make it back in time. Answer: perhaps, if I was fitter, faster, prepared to break the speed limit and be a bad dad to boot.

Let’s just say I gave it serious thought :joy:

Lol.

I’m working far too much to seriously do a race but I’m getting enough time to “ complete “ a sprint.

Not entered yet, it could be full, if it’s not I probably will. My dad is old , old now want him to see me looking daft one last time, while he still can.

Pity your a great dad with a slow car! Next year for sure … there’s motivation right there.

Turns out if you stop drinking vast quantities of wine and up your cardio a little you can lose even more weight.

Down to 139.3kg. In total I have lost 9cm from my belly.

Most importantly though my blood pressure is now 128/88. Which is still high-normal, but I am out of the really bad range and its trending downwards. I reckon in a few weeks I should be at normal!!

What do you think is causing this?

Always a good sign when you have to tighten your belt. :sunglasses:

If it took time to put all the weight on, it will take time to lose it too.
(I’ve been working my way down from a PW for over 3 years now. )

Outstanding - new wardrobe time

Ooh. Treat myself to a new packet of t shirts from costco 6 for 12 quid. Can get 2XL rather than 3XL.

Seriously though by next summer I want to be in shape to do justice to a Daniel Craig Sunspel Polo shirt.
