Cake and choc has taken a bit of a backward step though

I was getting a bit worried as the belly and muffin tops are starting to grow a tad. But i weighed myself this morning and i’m still just high 72. I thought i had started to creep up to 74/5 again, so quite chuffed with that. So a bit fatter, but no heavier. Probs atrophy to blame for that!

How tall are you?

About 173cm.

I’m quite heavy for a skinny short guy.

Hmm

Back home & just stepped on the scales before having a bath. I was interested to see what 16 days of heat, no alcohol, and running 10km every day would do.

71.8kg - that’s 3kg more than a few weeks ago, and pretty much the heaviest I recall ever

I don’t get it

Maybe the air travel but I would have expected that to have a dehydrating effect if anything :man_shrugging:

Good news though, checked Zwift, it still says 68

Now if you believe the “it’s environmental pollution folk”, it could make sense - different trace elements in the water / food, changes how your body chooses to keep the calories you have / modulate expenditure. So the change in consumption and use of calories is not enough to offset that.

Yeah, I guess that might be a theory :man_shrugging:

I’m thinking, the last 2 weeks I have relaxed like at no other time. No work، nothing to do each day except take wife to work, have a little jog, go for a swim, pick wife up again.

Normally I work four 10- 11+ hour days per week and don’t eat or drink enough during them. Wouldn’t be surprised if I’m normally 1 to 2 litres dehydrated when usually weigh, which guess could account for a lot of the difference.

Need to keep an eye on it though as next trip out will be for 7 months, although hopefully will have a job to keep me from raiding the fridge on an hourly basis :yum:

72.8kg. -1.3kg

Feel like this is a good weight for me, so will aim to keep floating around 72.5kg.

The good news is I can now fit into my Rapha summer short sleeve jersey. :man_facepalming:t2:

Alcohol free is not calorie free though, looked like you were getting through a few?

That’s true although I think there are only something like 30% of the kcal and I didn’t drink 3 times as much

73.5 kg. Chiropractor said I looked like I’d bulked up again muscle wise since I last saw her. I’m not really sure how to work out if I’m just putting muscle weight on or… heaviest I’ve been for a while.

Or maybe you’ve just pulled?

Cut out a few things to get my weight down for the National Hill Climb next weekend.

Earlier this year in May…

This morning…

How much of the change is down to the difference in weighing-in-socks though?
