2022 Weigh-in Thread

I’m within 50g of Zwift weight after a run this morning (but before refuelling)

Wonder if it will hit 68kg if I take the socks off?

No, apparently not

Sub 60 kg!

How has this effected your run speed ?
Do you just sink in the water with out a wetsuit?

Good luck for tomorrow !

Pain is temporary, the glory lasts forever… ish.

I’m not sure that will help. The camera gets closer to the scales in each photo so I suspect he’s actually chopping his legs down.

That’s where I am just now.

There’s a cafe at the top & although the bike & I will be pretty stripped down I’m carrying a credit card :pig: .

83.6kg…

Someone moved our scales to a different room so I’m suspect. I moved it to another spot and got 84.5kg

Either way it’s looking good for the month I usually gain the most weight.

No booze October maintained - 2 days to go - and counting

If I had gone to that extreme I’d be using Garmin Pay. No way I’d be lugging an extra gram for a card :slightly_smiling_face:

Height = 5’ 7” / 1.7m

01/10/22 - 12st 4.8lbs / 78.4 Kg – BF 25.1%

Early October - 12st 4.0lbs :sunglasses:

01/11/22 - 12st 8.0lbs / 79.8 Kg – BF 26.1%

October Month = Gain of 4.0lbs / 1.2kg :man_facepalming:

Despite a good start, there was a LOT of eating out this month (+ Halloween treats yesterday).

Will try to turn the tide back in the right direction this month, before Christmas makes it worse!

Cheers, Paul.

71.4 - last weigh in before Namibia - didn’t make my target of 70 but perhaps a tad ambitious

I was doing rubbish then had a burst and was doing well. But got ill and Ive been ravenous last few days.

Anyway 126kg. That’s 17kg lost in total. Really going to try and push for a good chunk rest of the year.

Im booze free currently, doctors orders, cholesterol was a little high so aiming to bring that down as well.

Managed a booze free October

Few glasses of wine last night when my mum and dad came to visit

Slept terribly - knackered this morning

17kg is a serious weight loss. I’ve a 16kg kettlebell and that’s a heavy chunk of iron not to have to lug around. Good work.

So after I mentioned the potato diet and reading the blog - I started Low-Dose Potassium Community Trial: Sign up Now – SLIME MOLD TIME MOLD
Obviously with a ~22 BMI, I’m not overweight, although I do have obvious fat in some places, so a genuine lean race weight would likely be lower, anyway who knows if it’s unrelated or not, but I’m ~2kg’s lighter after 17days, despite having been stable weight all year, and it’s an absolute piece of piss of a “diet”, just whacking in some extra potassium, and eating normally.

Smashing it Jim, certainly doesn’t seem too much hasselback.

Didn’t we have a thread on “racing weight”, the fitzgerald book? Cant find it.

Downloaded a few samples to my phone, I seem to remember the scoring system looked like a hassle. But I hate MyFitnessPal so could be a basic alternative.

Done his bodyfat maths so apparently my first target should be to get from 35% to 25% - lose a massive 12kg. Then go from 25% to 15%

Guidelines seem pretty much accepted stuff; eat quality food, time nutrition around workouts, etc.

Been really busy at work, other half still waiting for an operation so having to do a lot more round the house, shopping, cooking etc. so training has gone out the window recently with a cold the last week as the icing on the cake.
Started the year at 104kg, got down to 98 fairly quickly in Jan/Feb and now almost back where I started at 103.1kg
It’s all excuses as I could eat less and fit in some training if I really tried but just can’t be arsed.
