Reregistered for the Trail Outlaws Darkathlon at Kielder in May. Hopefully this will happen and just need to workout if it’s going to be MTB or CX bike

Did you see xterra is returning to the Uk next year? Wasn’t sure if that would interest you? Not sure I completely believe your lack of MTB skills comment but I’m guessing it would be quite technical

So, I lied on the other thread already, life moves pretty fast
I’ve now entered the Cleveland Steelman on 5th August.
£65 if anyone else is interested, fairly low key but fairly quick race. Very short transitions.

Half Ironman distance. It’s a great race that is on rolling roads I raced this a few times and would go back to do this again. At least the run is on mixed surfaces

Pretty sure (?) that this was once held in Ruswarp/Sleights and the bike leg went up Blue Bank and Egton Bank 
(These are quoted as 1:3, but are they hell! They’re brutal in a car, let alone a bike!)

Yeah, that was a previous race but before the steelman moved to Ellerton.
It can be a bit windy and the run used to be short but is fairly accurate now, bike is nearly 2k long though.

Bringing the thread back on track, I threw an entry in to the Celtman ballot yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever been successful in a ballot so not holding my breath for this one.
