Looking at the winner I think it’s 55? Possibly 60.

But if they used age group numbers it would be easier

Thanks

Well done @Doonhamer :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4:

A shame they didn’t let you eat your take away before getting you up there.

Yeah but he managed a trip to Primark first.

Trying to find some shorter races and things to put in my calendar as I lead up to Lanza 24. As @FatPom said its a bit too far out to solely focus on for that long.

Difficulty is the timing as I wont be half IM ready until towards end of the season. Maybe look for a decent Oly in the summer. Cowman is up the road for me and they do a calfman, which is half a half ironman, but its the weekend we were planning on being away.

Got a couple of half marathons in the winter, MK Winter Half and Dirt Half, but again they are months away.

Maybe do a autumn duathlon but Ive never liked them being a good swimmer and rubbish runner

Have done Ribby and Fleetwood a few times but about 10 years ago and also St Annes which is part of the same series and now only a couple of miles from where i live.

Quick courses with Ribby the quickest as the bike was shorter than Fleetwood/St Annes when i did them.

Get them done

There was only a race prize for the AG winners & top 3 over all.

Triathlon Wales should have been there to present some dust catchers of some sort, but couldn’t make it to North Wales. They’re posting them out.

I’ve just told them on FB that it won’t be the same stood on a garden chair as my wife presents it to me in front of the cat .

no doubt claiming short staffed, which to be fair is correct at the mo

ETA: I see on the TW Facebook page that they have claimed exactly that!!

If anyone is interested there’s a new swimrun starting up at Coniston in September with a couple of distances. Going to be too cold for me but if anyone is feeling brave I’m sure they’d love some entries.

Bit far from me. Consiton is great, but fucking cold, unless its near peel island where it gets very shallow and warms up.

I did the end to end there and the northern part is really reedy, its fucking spooky seeing them rise from the depths.

Quite strong currents for a lake as well. Stopped at a feed boat and grabbed my cup of jelly babies and just floated off.

Got a link or organiser name?

Looks like breca reborn, using some of the photos too https://swimrunconiston.com/

I did the breca one a couple of years ago and it was great. Hope they get the numbers!

Yes, that looks like it.

If wasn’t too cold as it was all in the shallow water and actually the breca coniston sprint that I did was mostly in Windermere :joy:

Clicking through the links it does appear to be the same course. I think that’s the course that criss-crossed with the Lakeland trail event from Ambleside. I might be tempted :face_with_peeking_eye:

ETA: just saw the entry fee. Err no.
