Followed up the 10 miler from a few weeks ago with a half marathon today, at pretty much the same pace. Rural course, some spiky climbs, and a bit of headwind on the way out, but that meant some nice gentle downhills with a tailwind in the 2nd half.
Eased up the climbs, to the extent that I was passed by a few others, but realed them back on the decents and flat. Strong 2nd half, pulled out 2 mins on the person I was with at 7ml - although he ran through the line to make his run up to 2 hours!
Overall, comfortably under my 1:25 target, 9th across the line and silverware in the old man category. Felt better than the I did in the 10, think I was better rested, and a bit of company in the 2nd half definitely helped, especially as I was moving quicker than those around me.

Have entered my first sprint Tri with an open water swim in June. Has anyone ever taken longer to get out their wetsuit than complete their bike leg? I feel there is potential for a shambles.

Lots of wetsuit lube - I use vaseline 
- on your ankles, wrists, calfs & forearms both on your skin & exterior of wetsuit.

I’ve finally managed to pay the entry fee for Belgrade half in 2 weeks, been having issues with their website. Glad I didn’t enter the marathon after the recent virus.
Had hoped for something like 1:27 a month ago, longest run for 4 weeks has been 10K so I’m downgrading it a bit!

Somehow managed a 2nd place finish in the M50+ at the local sprint duathlon. 1st place also took 3rd overall, so I got the AG trophy.
