Hyrox London Olympia on May bank holiday weekend all nicely booked

Did you have to “ attend “ sports direct ( Oxford st) to actually book on?!

Singles ?

Can’t believe Male Solo has sold out already! Whats the deal with this new Pro doubles divisions? Something they are implementing for next season?

Certainly sounds like Hyrox is the next “must try” extreme sport. Since it doesn’t involve any swimming, I am tempted to give it a go one day

Definitely one to give a go. I think its gonna blow up hugely over the next couple of years. Its so much more accessible than CrossFit.

Bad news and good news.

Bad news - I won’t be doing the UK Backyard, sorry @sparky :see_no_evil:

Good news - it freed up that weekend so I can go and see TOOL

Enjoy. I think I know who will have the better night …

Actually I’ve bumped you for the SDW100, that then freed up the Monday

Do the hardmoors races still sell out very early? Think I’d like to have an option at the end of the year - thinking Goathland in November or Roseberry in December. I’ve ran the Roseberry 1/2 route a few times.

Probably paging @jeffb

Only from what what I’ve heard from others but I think they do, they’re very popular.

I don’t think it’s minutes these days but the smaller trail series races they’re in still sell pretty quickly I think. Those two are popular as well, Goathland has a smaller field.

But if you enter and can’t make it someone will usually buy it off you.

Yeah Goathland opened a few days ago and has 20 entered. Doesn’t look like roseberry is open.

Free race transfers between people means I’ll throw in an entry for one of them.

I hadn’t realised Goathland had opened actually, normally get an email. I might enter it, but prefer the Roseberry race.

Surprised there’s so few entries really.

To give me something to aim for in the summer I’ve signed up for Steelman as it’s only £65 + £8 BTF which is incredible value and only £7 more than our local (Wilmslow) sprint ! Fortunately I’m in a different age group than @jeffb so just ‘racing’ a mate. Swimming should be fine as I’m doing Coniston end to end in June. Knee keyhole surgery end of Jan so I might even be able to run by July. Starting to look forward to 2024 now and pondering Cascais IM in October.

Haha, my last year in M50 :flushed: how did that happen

It’s a nice race, roads are generally quiet except for the small section near Northallerton.

With a bit of luck it might have stopped raining by then and let the run dry out!

SDW100 on June8th. You know I said I wasn’t going to try and go 100 miles again. Yeah, that was less than correct apparently :man_facepalming:

I have put on three triathlons for 18 years up here on the Fylde coast (near Blackpool) but was told today by a triathlete in London they were invisible to most of the UK. We put on 3 Sprints (pool swims) ideal for first timers, low key, no pressure or those looking for a PB. We also create a year long series out of them so there are prizes for each event and across the year. Two of the races also have all the children’s races and these two are on closed roads. We have put over 18,000 people through triathlon over the years, many for the first time, and yet have created multiple world champions too. If you fancy something different come and try Ribby Hall Tri as an early year race on Sunday 24th March, St Annes Tri May 19th or Fleetwood Tri Sept 22nd for a season end bit of tun. You can enter all on bookitzone or email me timwarmit@aol.com for more info.

Recommend these, as far as anyone can who hasn’t actually done one (sorry). Went to watch Ribby twice and always heard good things about them for being friendly, relaxed races.

Do you have a website for these?
