2025 Races

I just used my Giant TCR and put some tribars on it and had some light Dura Ace wheels.

I recently just got myself an a Specialized Aethos which is great for climbing and will just get some tri bars I suspect, I’m woeful at staying aero tho :joy:

dunno if you have somewhere to stay sorted but we camped both times. There’s a big campsite at the crossroads just at the bottom of the lake, that’s super-easy for race day, just ride up. The other time we camped at Camping Les Cascades (pardon my French ) at the foot of Alpe De Huez, that was great for BDO and exploring generally. Both were full of Dutch but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles :grinning:

Definitely not that organised but will take a look, not sure I’ll convince my girlfriend that camping is a good option though!

Some opportunities for virtual climbs in September.

Did the Olympic version in2014. Was meant to do the long course event but dropped down. Bearing in mind I was quite run fit at
The time, I personally found the run at altitude really hard; HR absolutely through the roof after taking it quite steady on the swim and bike. Beautiful event though. Would go back to do it again.

Hmm … despite what I said to @Doonhamer about the Ruthin Gravel event being torture for me, I’m still toying with it :see_no_evil::joy:

Sit toward the back and have a fun day out …

… or cycle 800m to the local pool and do the triathlon there? It’d be a nice lie in, about an 11am start time and home for lunch :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Canned entering The Roc, as I’ve done nearly naff all in three weeks now :joy::joy::joy:

I’m doing the exact same thing :+1:

Yeah I think we discussed this on our long walk around the boating lake

What are you thinking @SidSnot youre two for two against me this year, I’d like some payback!

I am up for Outlaw half and maybe Cotswold classic or 113. Could use one of these as a TT smackdown again?

And I thought you were the king of responding to threads distilling the prowess of your 1:00/100m swimming, 40kph riding and 3.30/km running after having not trained for 46 years, and just smoked fags and drunk beer.

Where’s your sense of derring-do gone?!

You should move house or something, give you something to do.

Not sure yet. I like Windsor as it’s close by(even if the course is a bit busy) The Costwold 113 and Classic have always been on my list. As @pacha says, could be a TT smackdown. Do they still do group entries and racking in the same spot?

I am sure we could get a group entry.

I did the 113 this year. Really good event and already have it on my radar for entering in 2025.
