that’s some going on the bike ![]()
90 secs behind 5th and running 20+/km quicker.
Could maybe even reel in 4th if it stays like it is now in terms of pacing!
Up to 5th!
And in other news TC is doing what TC does in Tenby. I guess Nice last weekend was the warmup,
Miss the swim start???
Strong from @jeffb for 6th , although looks like the closing half of the run might have involved a few words of Yugoslavian 🕵🏻♂️
Haha, guess where my meltdown peaked and I stopped to puke 3 times ![]()

Might have helped if it was earlier ![]()
Top effort @jeffb
Du sprint this morning with an 8.15 start at 4°c. Wet feet due to the course and T1 in a park so my feet were pretty much numb all day. 2nd overall and 1st v50. 1 more sprint next week and then dig deep for the champs at the end of October
Lost a few mins there ?
Gel belly ?
Well done !!
Slower course than sundowner ( fast bike ?)
So not the greatest day, and another race with torturous weather! Seems to be one extreme or another and I don’t cope as well these days.
Even my mate who did the second fastest bike split overall said he was down a few minutes because of it. Was even worse on the second lap and not sure my pacing was great ![]()
Surprised with the swim as I’ve rarely done that pace in training but have used the wetsuit for 3 consecutive weekends now. It was slightly short but for some reason there was no intermediate buoys although less of an issue in a rowing lake.
Bike was generally either rattling along with the wind or grinding into it. I got to the first turn point on 2:20 pace ![]()
Strange how some reason you just don’t get going on the run, first lap wasn’t terrible but knew I was struggling then started feeling like I could be sick, tried getting fluids and energy on board but it was an effort. Then was sick, I actually remember the Italian guy passing me there! Felt a bit better after but still a bit wrecked, and got to sort the bike now.
Think it is over 30c now and a strong sun and pretty constant wind at least 30kph!
Well done @jeffb!
Didn’t have any gels so not that. Bike would have been very fast without the wind, mostly flat and very smooth tarmac on a dual carriageway mostly.
Well done @jeffb , sounds like a tough day! good job ![]()
Well done fella
Well done @jeffb ![]()
nice one matey
Your man had a great day.
He certainly did, enjoyed tracking him. He’s had a really great year and so consistent.
also had a win in F35 so a grand day for TTTC.
do I need to ask if a Scot in a kilt shouted at him?
