2026 Races

Not entered yet but got a lot of next year loosely planned now that I know I’m not going to Tokyo or the trail race in Tenerife. Probably going to go to Cyprus in March to do a half and get some warmth followed by a few days in both Ankara and Istanbul before heading to Italy and probably do the Chianti trail race that Tunster did last year, just the 50k distance though.

Both subject to them not selling out and actually telling the GF :grimacing:

Probably do Boro half just before then and maybe Brass monkey in January. Got my eye on a half near Lisbon in February but need to see about the money! Also wondering about the 3 peaks in April.

From about June I’ll start on the triathlons to build towards Barca in October, will try and get a couple of 70.3’s but not sure where\when and don’t fancy a race weekend abroad like last weekend, it felt like a bit of an effort, unless it was somewhere closer.

Will pad with some TT’s and audaxes as well.

Was half tempted with the trail race at Fin Del Mundo but couldn’t get clearance for the long haul off Greta.

Signed up to my first 2026 race.

Local 10k in a nearby town. 2nd or 3rd year, but they’re obviously making a huge effort closing roads, start and finish in the town centre.

Let’s see how it goes!

Not at all Fruity. At the minute, I doubt I could even run 10k. Need to shift a bit of muscle and timber too.

Probably will run somewhere 40-42.

I quite fancy the Chianti one - but the weather this year has put me off a bit..

I’m not sure I dare look or ask! But nearly 6 hours in the cold and rain in California toughened me up :joy:

Same here! Although running is a slightly larger temperature range than cycling!

Got offered a charity spot for London. Definitely taking it and need to put together a plan. Want to do it justice as I’ve wanted to run it for years and never got in.

Got an email yesterday, apparently ADH long is about 85% full if anyone is considering it.

Got a ballot slot for the Brass Monkey in January, shame I’m not as lucky for Tokyo!

EA fees going up again next year if anyone is affiliated, going to be £23, got a feeling it is £22 this year.

Oh :poop:, I have done something very silly… :scream::skull_and_crossbones: entered IM Calella-Barcelona :scream:

Remember I…

:man_swimming: Swim like a brick… well the word swim is a stretch, although I guess I did survive Cotswolds Classic 1.2 mi swim without a wetsuite
:man_biking: Bike like a windbreak… cda 1.4
On a good day can put together an okay run :man_running: but probably not after the :man_swimming: :man_biking:

Doesn’t matter how aero you are in Barca does it? It’s just a series of pelotons riding around! :joy:

Why do you think  I enter this specific event.
Would have done Copenhagen but it sold out and was a bit concerned about the peak training being in the heat of summer

No for two reasons…

The main one gotta get to the start line fit and well and out of the swim… one step at a time.

Draft… ahhh lovely  within rules obviously
