2026 Races

It is possible it had gone into T2 as there could have been a scramble for people with priority entry to get into a fast (short ) course!

IME audaxes usually have a decent spread, mostly home made.

I’ve booked accommodation in Klagenfurt for IM Austria 2026. Fully cancellable though… I just need to convince myself to enter and commit to the training. Can I face a winter/spring of training? Can I face the pool again? I might join a local tri club for motivation. Shake things up.

Anyone else on TT planing Klagenfurt next year?

I got an early bird entry email yesterday but doubt I’ll be going. I do fancy the 70.3 in the Loire area and was pretty rapid!

I’m sure when I did it in 2006 it was £350 or something. That pricing is usurious. Still, I’ll probably enter. And I’ll not enter Mallorca 70.3 that I was considering.

Yes, strongly considering it. I’m starting to look at races for next year and it’s either going to be long haul or European where we can do a road trip. Austria is a top contender though.

I am keen to see the T100 French Riviera race, might be a possibility for next year.

Im considering it. I would like to do a full next year.
Not sure about giving myself more time or doing the easiest one.

Of those I’ve only done Austria, twice. It’s an amazing venue and one of the easier courses. Unless the run gets super hot. Austria and Lanza are the only two I’ve done that I’d return to again. Frankfurt was dull, Nice was fun but I saw some harrowing crashes on the bike that put me off, and Celtman is too cold and hard. Copenhagen looks amazing… tempting. I wish there was still a Monaco 70.3, that was my all time winner.

I’m telling myself that Ironman is cheaper than the Marathon de Sables which I’ve been pondering for 20 years now. Come to Austria and meet an internet weirdo for a beer

Turns out the early bird for the French race is a full so my credit card can stand down :joy: tempted by the 70.3 when it opens but not sure what the location is like for so many competitors.

I watched a documentary with Mrs T about MDS - I said I’ve always fancied having a crack at that. Mrs T said why don’t you. 10 mins later I was entered for the 2013 edition

I watched this with my 10yo last week and did find myself on the MdS website that evening.

We love Average Rob in Maison Mullet.

Do it - not the toughest foot race in the world though despite their tagline
