I would probably have grabbed the watch and carried on swimming with fists drill. Not sure if that would have been a good option with my (lack of) technique.

Oh boy. The water better cool a bit this week otherwise there will be a lot of panicking women on Sunday when they have to swim without a wetsuit.
ETA: on the other hand - if it doesn’t cool, maybe I should enter the aqua bike after all

I lost my Fenix 5 in the Waldsee at IM Frankfurt three years ago that way. Couldnt grab it in time so it’s probably still in there.

Not done an Olympic distance for about 8 years I think, will be in Leicester all day Saturday dressed as a First Order Snowtrooper and will have a bit of Frankfurt fatigue in the legs…just getting the excuses in now

My excuses are, I’m supposed to be doing a 165k audax around York on Saturday before driving down, although there is a 105k that I might do instead.
I also seem to have some kind of infection or bite on my face, I’m hoping it will go down.
