Doing this definitely sounds hard. Just getting up in the night to do a freezing run must be tough. Keep going. Thanks for the updates
Yeah keep it up Funkster, you’re doing great. I’m jealous in a weird way as I love stuff like this. Keep fuelling and napping and you’ll have it nailed. Will be much easier to get out the door in the daylight.
Are you purposely trying to keep all the runs as quick as they are? If not, slow down for a couple, really plod and see if that changes things.
@Chriswim The updates are as much about making me accountable as anything else
@hillwall There were a couple of sections where the houses finished and it was just open ground and the temp change was nasty
@gingerbongo I’m just running on feel (especially the night ones as my backlight on the Garmin is broken) so am just heading out with the run pace set at “Go” There is a part of me now that wants to keep them all under 30 mins
10 - 8am Day 2 - 40 miles covered
29:05 / 7:15 pace / 129HR
First time the alarm has been the thing to wake me up
Legs very stiff
First half mile was running with legs that didn’t want to bend
Annoyingly it was a tail wind on the way out, so two faster miles 7:08 / 7:10, but this gave me a nice buffer if I wanted to stay under 30 minutes
Last mile into the head wind it was “can’t feel my legs” type of running.
Just refilling with some milk and chocolate spread on toast.
Bit of TV and a nap before midday
Think @funkster needs a new nickname after this extravaganza
Twat
I was think maybe Starlight Express or night sweats or something a little more edifying
Home straight now funkster
Yes @funkster - nearly there
God the doms must be crazy bad now.
Keep going “ Full weekend runner “ !
We. Don’t. Talk. About. The. DOMS.
Pulse gels needed
OMG, are you pulling an all-nighter
Brilliantly bonkers @funkster great effort💪
I actually have their caffeine tablets, but fancied some fizzy pop
Nah.
That won’t keep me awake tonight.
I’ve done a can before one of our TTTs and been asleep by 10
Thanks dude.
8 miles to ho
Yikes, I’d still be awake next Wednesday
11 - Midday Day 2 - 44 miles completed
28:01 / 7:00 pace / 127HR
Drank a can of Rockstar at 11am.
Nuff said.
