Can anyone with any laptop knowledge have a look at the below laptop and let me know if it’ll run Zwift / TR etc without much hassle?

Currently have to move Apple TV from the main TV to the garage for sessions and this will allow more bluetooth connections so i can have heart and cadence connected to the same device.

If I add a SSD then it should cover the occasional Netflix / forum browsing sessions but is there anything in there that says it’ll be unable to run Zwift in a years time?

here’s the specs for running Zwift which would seem to indicate it might not be powerful enough

It’s an entry level laptop which you’re asking to run a 3D game on. If it works, won’t be great.

Either buy another ATV or get an old office PC and screen plus GPU.

50% off the Tax Neo 2t

Yeah, I spotted that. It’s a good deal. I was historically always keen on a Neo, but it didn’t fit my TT frame annoyingly. Similar to the fact the Kickr doesn’t fit my road bike frame. I do find it surprising that they make them in such a way to be incompatible.

The other “great deal” (albeit still very expensive) is the v1 kickr bike. I pulled the trigger. Wahoo were selling direct for £1,999 which is now £1,500 off the price of the v2 which literally only comes with WiFi and an ethernet port as an extra. They’ve now sold out, but today sigma sports have introduced a new discount code that gets it down to £1,979 via them. There’s also the potential for topcashback with them.

I did call wahoo, but as mine is prepped to dispatch tomorrow it would incur a restocking fee to cancel (very American). I’d have quite liked obtaining the sigma top tier of loyalty discount too. But oh well.

Very much a luxury purchase, but time is going to be at a premium going forwards, and not having to swap bike son and off the turbo will be handy - having it always ready to ride outdoors will be a time saver(those are 30mins more I could be riding). I also am quite keen for the gradient changing features, as in the Alps last year it was noticeable in my core and back that I’m not conditioning to the climbing position at all.

Also something very durable and rust-proof will be better. I’ve been burning through headsets on my TT bike, and they’re becoming harder to obtain as it’s an older bike.

Paid full whack :money_mouth_face: for the Neo 2t during lockdown, it’s been flawless and a much better turbo than the flux though.

You could’ve pursued that, you have a right to cancel, and your only cost risk in the scenario is the (documented) cost of returning the goods, as they are not yet dispatched, there would be no costs other than the massive hassle of arguing.

Yeah, I was aware of that. I just couldn’t be bothered to argue that a $250 restocking fee when the goods had not yet been dispatched was almost certainly not compliant with UK DSR. For the sake of £20, and then having to ensure I got a replacement order in with sigma before the end of cyber monday, it was just not worth the hassle.

Clearly if it arrives, and I choose its not for me, then getting my full refund (less my own costs for returning the item) as I am legally entitled to would be worth having the argument over.

Anyone out there have experience of Tifosi bikes? Looking at one of their frame sets but concerned that they might be Planet X quality for Cannondale money.

A few people at cycle club have them.
Sound Italian, so they’ll be shite build quality :joy::wink:

Rapha’s new helmet is £240.
Code is SAVE50 to get it for £120 :+1:t3:

Some Tifosi frames are open moulds but that doesn’t mean they’re not good quality and won’t last.

The wiggle turbo trainer desk with the integrated power is significantly reduced. Only £60

The original is down to £50. I have that one. Its an unnecessary upgrade, but very tempting. Would clean things up cable wise, although I’m really not sure that’s worth spending on!

These desks might seems excessive, but the mobility of them, the non slips surfaces, and the fact you can have stuff above your bars, really is helpful for a long turbo session.

Cambridge Melomania +1 earbuds at a stupid price

If I didn’t have a pair already I would be getting these

How secure are they in ear? I’m still disappointed by the jabra elite active 75s. I loved the 65s but the 75s just work loose when running, or even talking/eating.

Oos now

Still available at Richer Sounds for that price. But reviews I’ve read state comfort and security of fit is an issue. So not sure they’d really offer me much. All the upside seems to be sound quality, and I’m not an audiophile

I’ve got these and the Jabra 75’s. The 75’s are a substantially better fit for me.

The foam tips work for me and have always been secure when on the turbo. I use them for training and when commuting so appreciate the audio quality as well.
