End of WiggleCRC?

Big fan of decathlon kit here, in fact they are my go to for office ‘What bike/kit should I buy’ conversations

One caveat though, their low end waterproofs are pretty dire. Either completely unbreathable or as waterproof as a teabag.

But that’s probably the case for all low end waterproofs.

Decathlon kit lasts forever.

I’ve kept a few of the “10yr guarantee” tags and receipts and returned broken items later :joy:

Manager wasn’t happy in either instance.
I’m like “well, erm, don’t offer the warranty” :woman_shrugging:t4::joy:

Another Galibier fan here - they are my go to place for clothing. Their winter bib-longs are the best I’ve had and all the kit is very reasonably priced and good quality.

IMO Wiggle were never cheapest for parts, they were just more convenient as they were reasonably priced for most things.

I find Decathlon a bit hit and miss.

Will they have Haribo in them though?

Why does everyone go nuts for Haribo? They’re pretty ordinary at the best of times.

Mods, can we ban fatpom, this is completely unacceptable :joy:

 I just don’t get it. Some of them are ok but a lot of the varieties are not really any different to other jelly sweets.

Bring back Opal Fruits I say

With you on them, I fancy some now :joy:

In agreement, too much effort to eat. I require instant gratification in my confectionery.

I like the ‘fizzy’ style haribo, the others are a bit dull. Can’t beat pink and blue cola bottle imo. They’re are a rare find now though

I remember when you used to get the Wiggle branded wine gums, I preferred those.

I think the remaining stock is being sold from a warehouse near Sheffield?

Also read that Rapha are making cutbacks in North America, so the market continues to shrink. Although DCR suggested that Giant might end up taking Stages on?

With the massive growth in apartment building and occupation rather than houses, more and more adults don’t seem to have bikes, as nowhere to keep them or ride them regularly, and for families the kids never get a chance to ride a bike, which is really sad, but is also killing the demand.

Because Trek are now their North American distributor so no need for their own team. So yes, you can now get Rapha in all Trek stores

I’m sure Evans used to stock some of their basic range in the past as well.

With the amount of ball-ache a Wiggle own brand Lifeline gear inner has caused me this afternoon (about as supple as a ships hawser and eventually went in the bin) I’m glad they went bust :rage:
