Keeping an eye on it from here. Remember the no caffeine rule during the last few hours of the run!

eJC has viewed all that in advance, russian subs located, sharks diverted with ESP, and the giant squids are currently migrating to Qatar.

I may be wrong but I think they usually sleep there now and set off in the morning?

Nice. Good that he gets to look forward to daybreak and has most swimming in the daytime. Hope the feeding goes well and that you remember to look after yourself as well. If you’re too tired you won’t make good decisions for the athlete.

no wetsuit?

Oh man, I didn’t realise it was channel swimming rules. Assumed, as it’s a tri of sorts, wetsuits would allowed. That’s even more mental after all that running first, I can feel my calves going it spasm just looking at it. :grimacing:

You can do it with or without a wetsuit. If you wear a wetsuit then it won’t count as an official channel swim. Most people do it with a wetsuit but a handful have completed without.
